The sound of the bullet startled the birds in the forest into flight.
Amanda Jenkins widened her eyes in terror as she saw a bullet shoot into a tree beside her.
If Jasper Bollock had not pulled her away in time, the bullet would have likely pierced through her body.
However, before Amanda could react, six tall European men suddenly burst out of the nearby shrubbery, each armed with a gun.
Bullets flew at them like a hailstorm.
"Get down!" Jasper immediately wrapped his arms around Amanda and rolled into the bushes, taking cover behind a large rock nearby.
"It's not my brother!" Amanda said, her face filled with panic.
"We have walked into a trap." Jasper quickly drew his handgun, "Someone wants to kill you."
Amanda shivered slightly. Who wanted to kill her?
"Stay here and don't be afraid." As soon as he finished speaking, Jasper stood up and returned fire at the six men.
His marksmanship was accurate, hitting three of them with his bullets.
