Lucas Griffin and Amanda Jenkins were both startled at the same moment.
They saw Kent, with his untidy bird's nest hair, wearing a cartoon T-shirt, and his bare little feet on the ground.
He squinted his sleepy eyes, tilted his small head, and gave Lucas a silly smile, "Hehe, daddy is still at home. I just had a dream that daddy left, and it scared me awake immediately."
With that, Kent threw himself into Lucas's arms, holding onto his thighs and rubbing against his suit pants, "Daddy, you said you would play with me after I woke up."
It felt like something had pierced Lucas Griffin's heart sharply.
He frowned in pain, a hint of moisture in his eyes.
Divorce would undoubtedly hurt Kent, and although he had been troubled for so long, he had only mentioned divorce to Amanda but couldn't bring himself to tell Kent about their impending separation.
Since he was a child, he never received affection from his parents.
