As Anastasia stroked her belly, she said in a gentle voice, "Sister, I was ignorant in the past and did many wrong things. Now I am also a mother-to-be, and all I want is for my child to come into this world safe and happy."
"They will," Amanda replied stiffly, forcing a smile, "You make another call, I'll go inside first."
Whether Anastasia was truly repentant or not, Amanda was no stranger to such hypocritical facades and was not about to trust her easily.
