Amanda Jenkins abruptly stopped in her tracks, a chill running down her spine.
Who was crying?
Hearing such a sound outside at night was alarmingly eerie.
Amanda looked around.
The Griffin's Family mansion was vast, and despite living there for a while, she still hadn't explored every part of it.
Though she was somewhat afraid, her curiosity got the better of her, and Amanda stepped towards the source of the sound.
The sound grew closer, and after rounding a large flower bed, she suddenly saw a figure crouched behind it.
The crying was coming from there.
On closer inspection, Amanda realized it was Emma Bollock!
The street lamp couldn't reach behind the flower bed, leaving the area shrouded in darkness.
Emma Bollock was curled up, hugging her knees to her chest, her body trembling slightly from her sobs.
She was trying to suppress her crying, but the sound still leaked out.
Such restrained sobs sounded desolate to anyone listening.
