Amanda Jenkins got out of the car and looked despairingly at the winding mountain road ahead.
Running up this road, there was no telling how much time she would lose.
But that didn't matter anymore, seeing her brother was the most important thing right now!
With a grit of her teeth, Amanda ran up the mountain.
By the time she reached halfway up the slope, her legs were already out of strength.
She leaned against a tree, gasping for breath, her heart pounding uncontrollably due to the sudden intense exercise.
Just a little further up, past a small path, and she would reach the cave.
Although her physical strength was overdrawn, determination filled her heart, and Amanda bit her teeth and mustered the energy to keep running up the mountain.
At that moment, Lucas Griffin's call came through.
Amanda answered the phone while not slowing her steps.
"Amanda!" Lucas's voice was tense.
"Lucas."
