I walked behind Presley in silence, observing and absorbing everything I saw.
People were walking quickly back and forth, all
seeming to be in a rush, while we walked casually. Three times we were stopped as Presley was asked to sign a document and god knows what else.
People kept giving me odd looks.
I tried to ignore them, but it was starting to bother me.
I'd never enjoyed being the center of attention.
"They've all heard what you're capable of," Presley voiced as he kept walking ahead of me. "We're happy you've decided to help us."
"Whatever it takes to get these vampires," I responded. He remained silent.
After several minutes, we came to large white double doors.
Presley placed his hand on a scanner and the door unlocked for him.
We stepped inside the room and I immediately had to take a step back as a woman walked in front of me, a stack of files in her hand.
