Chapter 53 - Genjutsu

Picking up the sleeping Neji, I walked towards his room. After placing him in his bed, I appeared in front of the big iron gates of my lab.

*creak*

Pushing them with my strength, I opened them. It was dimly lit, with many shelves filled with unknown poisonous liquids, books, and dangerous-looking tools. Overall, the lab was giving off vibes of menace. There were some cylindrical jars with green liquid, and within them were pairs of Byakugan eyes.

.

Of course, we have too many of them; researching on them would only increase my level of understanding of my own eyes.

And talking about my eyes, they were getting stronger and stronger every second. It's been many months since I completed one of my goals: to see the neurons of my brain.

But even after scanning and understanding every nook and cranny of my brain, I wasn't able to find the so-called mindscape.

.

So one thing was sure: the mindscape didn't exist physically. If it did, I would have found it long ago.

It exists spiritually; the consciousness, or should I say the soul, the mindscape exists there. Even my mighty and powerful eyes couldn't see this, at least not yet.

But this didn't mean I can't feel it. With my even mightier and more powerful soul, it wasn't impossible to feel it.

.

Once I found out, it became relatively easy for me to control my spiritual or Yin energy, and from then on, my chakra reserves skyrocketed.

Before it, my physical and spiritual energies weren't in sync, but even then, my chakra reserves were at the top of what a human body was capable of.

Now, it only grew even further. With it, my eyes got even stronger; the strength of the Byakugan was directly related to my spiritual energy, and it was immeasurable.

Mainly, the Byakugan only needed two things: harsh training and spiritual energy. I was sure that with these two, it could evolve further.

And why hadn't it happened in the Hyuga clan yet? First, they didn't try to improve through training; they were content with what they had. They only trained their eyes while using the Gentle Fist. Other than that, they didn't even bother activating their eyes. Second, they didn't try to improve their spiritual energy through reading or meditating.

The Byakugan wasn't like the Sharingan, where witnessing the death of a loved one suddenly grants you heaven-defying abilities; that doesn't even make sense.

The Byakugan was different—the more you trained it, the stronger it got.

.

'And I have trained it straight for more than 5 years, hehe, so it is obviously stronger than everyone.'

Chuckling to myself, I approached the now-tied-to-chair man. We had given him proper nutrients, so he was doing fine, physically.

"Hehe, you lucky bastard. I see you're getting proper care in my noble clan," my grin soon turned sinister.

.

"Ay Haku-chan, why don't you move him towards the corner?" I called out to my assistant.

He had arrived here even before me.

"So, what are you going to do with him now?" he curiously asked, moving the chair to the corner where some of my musical instruments were placed.

Over the months, I had collected them for just one purpose, and no, it's not for playing.

"Let him be sent to the wonderlands of angels and fairies," chuckling I also sat on the chair in front of the man.

Placing a small harp in my lap, I caressed its strings without creating any sound.

Some of my hair fluttered as I activated my divine eyes, and everything turned monochromatic. To be honest, I've spent more than 15 hours in this black-and-white world, so I have become so accustomed to it that the colorful world feels like heaven.

.

*tan*

I slightly pulled the string and played a high note. With my internal vision, I observed a high-frequency and very closed sound wave traveling in all directions in the form of a sine wave.

Hitting the man's eardrums and amplified by it, it traveled into his brain, where thousands of neurons worked like a web and sent the exact information of what the wave sounded like.

.

After playing the random notes, I channeled a small amount of my chakra towards my fingertip, and smoother than any other chakra transformations, it changed into Yin chakra.

Then, mixing the Yin chakra with sound waves, I let it travel through his body, observing how his brain worked and how effortlessly my Yin chakra mixed with his chakra pathways.

*tan* *tan*

I continually poured more of my Yin chakra into his body. Soon, the man's body turned soft, his eyes closed, and a blissful expression appeared on his face.

"See, Haku-chan, we are not cruel, hehe," I chuckled and placed the harp to the side.

"You're the most benevolent person, Hinata," he said with a short laugh.

.

Looking at the man, I asked, "So, what are you feeling and seeing?"

Like a robot, he spoke, "The summer winds, beautiful flowers, long mountains, birds are flying, rivers are flowing, and the ground smells fresh."

"Hehe, good, you can sleep," I tapped my finger on the hard surface of the chair's arm, creating a sound wave and mixing it with Yin chakra. I put the man to sleep.

.

Sound-based genjutsu is very hard to detect when used properly, like tapping a finger on a table, clicking a pen, walking a steady step, or mixing it with footsteps while using the Gentle Fist.

If I am not wrong, the Sharingan produces specific waves from their eyes that are very compatible with mixing Yin chakra with it. The more control you have over Yin chakra, the more powerful the genjutsu becomes.

.

"Let's end today's practice here," I told Haku-chan.

Nodding to me, he started to walk towards his room. But before he left, he curiously asked, "How are you going to reveal that I have Ice Release?"

Patting his shoulder with a smile, I spoke, "Have you heard about Naruto and the rumors about him?"

"Yes, people say he is the demon fox, but you told me the truth," he said.

"Exactly, but do you know people don't try to look past it and don't want to know the real truth. They are blinded by the hatred,"

'which I used in my favor, hehe.'

.

"I don't know what you are getting at," he asked.

"You know, Haku-chan, it all started with rumors," I said.

"So, we will spread the rumor about you and Kimimaro. Slowly, over the years before academy graduation, every higher-up and people will have a feeling that you have a kekkei genkai.

Then, they will want to see for themselves. They will forget how it came into existence or why you possess it; the only thing they will care about is satisfying themselves."

"You know, Hinata, you are very cunning," he spoke.

"Hehe, thanks for your praises, Haku-chan. I am flattered."

.

"Even if someone tries to question how you have a kekkei genkai, at that time, they wouldn't have the power to question us," I said.

"Remember, Haku-chan, people who have power are able to do what they want because no one can stop them. After all, might makes right."

.

End of the chapter, how do you like it?
