I walked down the hallway of the inn, moving through the second floor with the possessed Lianhua at my side. The corridor was eerily silent, every door standing open, revealing scenes of horror. Each room bore the signs of violent deaths, the remains starkly similar in their gruesome end.

I glanced through a window, and my breath caught in my throat. Outside, hovering in the dim moonlight, was a figure dressed in red, perhaps in a traditional wedding hanfu. Its face was obscured by a crimson veil, and its feet hovered above the ground. Was this the ghost bride spoken of in local legends? Could this be the entity the tarot reader had warned us about? Was this the 'She' she mentioned?

But if that was the ghost bride, then who was controlling Lianhua?

The figure in red vanished into the moonlight, leaving me bewildered. " Who are you?" I asked clenching my wrist.

" You will soon know, don't you worry," the possessed Lianhua replied.
