Chapter 12 - I feel like i'd be very bad at pokemon since i keep fainting

After what Giovanni had told me about the scissors sleep was what I needed badly. The day after I was supposed to head to who knows where to defeat a horseman of the apocalypse. This was becoming quickly dangerous. I started missing the days when I was with my family even though I quarreled a lot with my step-father, I was free to do what I wanted. Now the fate of the world is supposedly hanging around in my hands. Well, this was mortifying.

The next morning, I woke up spry as the sun after last night's events, I took a refreshing bath and got myself some new clothes. A photo of the imagine dragons' band on a black T-shirt along with a brown half-pant.

Then I kept my spear in my back pocket and the scissors in my bag. As I stepped out, I couldn't feel more refreshed. The smell of fresh bread pulled me to the great hall. There I found a banquet for the leaving heroes namely me and a bunch of other guys.

A guy approached me he wore a Hawaii shirt with the sea saying ride the waves, and he wore a blue half pants as though he had just got here from the real thing. "You must be Drago, since I met the other quest-goers. Lemme introduce myself, I'm Draisol the last son of England's only existing king. You must have some power to even be on this quest and no less as your team leader. So, who will you be taking with you?" I honestly felt like the guy talked too much but I admitted that I had no one yet. "Let's spar since the people here would want a strong leader to follow rather than someone they don't know and got picked at random."

That caught my leg. The one thing I didn't like was not fitting in with people which was the first reason I never lived with my family, but here I was truly a stranger so this piqued my interest, and strangely, I could feel my spear in my bag reeling me towards the battle.

Then suddenly he kept the glass of wine I guessed on the waiter's platter who was standing behind him. Then he stretched out his hands. He was wearing a ring with a sapphire on the left while the other hand had a ruby. They gave a short glint as they turned into 2 poniards. Long, sleek, and sharp enough to cut me up. As though in cue everyone in the hall made a huge circle screaming Draisol's name while booing mine which didn't boost my confidence in any way. But at the corner of my eye, I saw Wilbert who was standing near a staircase and as our eyes met, he gave me a grin and thumbs up.

I left my bag on the ground and took the baton/spear from my bag and it grew to full size. That caught the crowd's attention but instantly Draisol came in front of me and as he went for a stab, I thought I was dead but my body had reacted before my brain and was holding off against the dagger with my spear as he broke his stance and retreated.

"So, you do have some moves. Let's see how well your basics are." Again he charged at me with his poniards pointing away at me and yet I knew that if I even got grazed by it, then it'd be bad for me. I had to defend against it which was hardly the problem since I couldn't feel the force of his attacks at all but he was focusing entirely on speed. He kept chipping at me as he scratched parts of my body with the daggers, I was worn out. As though in concordance, I saw my way of winning. I could see everything clearly, even the thin string right behind him. It was really thin, a chance I'd have to take. I kept defending against his slashes and the random stabs he'd throw in between. I threw my spear into the sand and threw some in the air which caught him by surprise as he blew the dust away just by blowing.

Then as his eyes turned red "Oh that was a dirty move, Drago, you shouldn't have done that". Then he collected the winds around and created a mini tornado in the palm of his hand and said "My patron Woden doesn't like it when I lose so, please lose for me." And then a huge field formed in the sky as the people around formed barriers to contain the field, letters appeared in the sky. They seemed like runes each coding for different forms of magic. In each corner, there was a different element like fire, water earth, lightning, wind, and a bunch of other things you could only think of in fantasies or the 'avatar' series, I guess.

A single letter came forward among all the letters that were there. He said in sarcasm "and god said let there be light". I knew it'd be the end of me if stood still so I ran to grab the string but was blasted to the ground by a beam of light so strong it felt like my skin would tear apart which in fact it was. I was just a hair width away from the string. But I was pushed down to the ground.

In the nick of time, my spear fell on the thread and I had triggered a chain. The thread was connected to a can full of Mountain Dew which spilled onto the floor. This reached the electric circuits causing electricity to travel plus some of the incarnates contributed to some more lightning and thunder falling from the sky which in turn broke the RuneScape and me not getting blasted with a lot of light. One of the lightning bolts hit Draisol and he fell to the ground like a fried chicken. Then fell the aftereffects of the light beam that hit me. Every bone felt as though it was being lasered. Through some magic, my skin kept repairing itself but the light kept burning me.

Then a guy came running wearing a white lab coat and a stethoscope around his neck.

He then held his hand above me as I writhed in the pain of my skin and bones tearing, he said "Night sky collect, healing zero!!". And I fainted.
