Jake scrolled through his phone while he sat in the hotel's garden. He tried to distract himself from the hackers' jobs as he was confident they would bring up something he would use against Alastor.
Coming across Janet's number, he decided to call her. It had been a long time since they had seen each other and he was missing her.
He knew she had only brought Alastor to his wedding to make him jealous but he was going to forgive her for that.
Calling her phone, she picked up almost immediately like she was in a hurry.
"Hello," her voice came up, making him smile as he had missed her voice.
"Hey Janet. Did you miss me?"
"Who is this?" her voice cracked, getting him in shock. Had she deleted his number?
"It's me, Jake," he introduced himself with a sad voice.
"Oh, hey," was all she could say.
"So I was thinking about you…"
"Aren't you married? Should you not focus on your marriage?"
