Chapter 27 - Chapter 25: What Now

In the sky, purple particles gathered as the Sleep God, Hypnos, appeared. "I guess I can reincarnate just like that," he muttered to himself. His form shifted into that of a young boy with curly purple hair, gently floating down to the ground. Confusion clouded his mind as he whispered, "What was I doing? What's my name?"

Suddenly, a magic symbol materialized before him, spelling out: Yu-Me-Ae... Yume Nyx.

"Oh, okay," Yume said, accepting the name, "but what am I supposed to be doing?" More magical signs appeared, and the words Find our brother lit up before his eyes. "Alright, let's set off," Yume declared, determination flaring in his purple eyes as he began his journey.

Meanwhile, in the academy, Keiko, Fin, and Oshime sat in the office, waiting. Moments later, Ouiji emerged with a tall man—one of the teachers. Keiko sprang up, rushing to hug his brother.

"Hey, brother! I thought you left to go fulfill your Demon King duties."

Ouiji smirked casually, but Keiko's question carried weight. Ever since the previous Demon King had died, a strange rift had formed in the demon capital. By blood, Ouiji was supposed to be the next king, but his long sealing had delayed the succession. In the meantime, Keiko had barely escaped being killed and now carried the rune of sin—the Sin of Envy—sealed on his hand. The struggle for the throne had intensified, especially with Ouiji's release.

Ouiji sighed, still relaxed. "Yeah, I was going to leave, but the elders want you to withdraw from the running to be king."

Before Keiko could respond, the teacher standing next to Ouiji removed his glasses, revealing his true identity—Toru. Keiko's face twisted in irritation. "What's he doing here?" Memories of his Overdrive form and the chaos that ensued came flooding back.

Toru strode over to Keiko, patting him on the head. "Well, you see, kid, I protected you from another divine intervention. And since your dear brother here is leaving, you need a proper teacher—one who's not half-baked."

Fin tried to protest, stepping forward, but in an instant, Toru appeared right in front of him, whispering menacingly into his ear. "I know you've got Typhon in you. Play nice, or I'll chop you and that God-slayer's head off—just like my original mission was."

Fin froze, the weight of the warning sinking in.

Oshime, meanwhile, remained indifferent, not fully understanding the gravity of Toru's presence, but glanced toward Keiko for guidance. Before she could ask, Keiko cut her off with a serious tone, "We have to go—to my home. Underhell."
