The brain releases extra cortisol, whether it's a challenging exam, a looming deadline, or a nerve-wracking presentation. Cortisol isn't all bad; think of it like a superhero hormone that helps a person stay alert and focused during challenges. However, too much can be a problem. Picture having too many superheroes trying to save the day simultaneously—it can get chaotic. So, when the pressure builds up, take a deep breath, stay calm, and show that stress knows who's boss.
