Chapter 7 - The unspoken truth

At the hotel, Jay in Miyazaki's room, discussing what happened and why Mikoto didn't intervene. Jay pulls out his tablet to review all the events, focusing on Mikoto's reaction to the situation, suspecting her. As Jay opens the tablet and reviews everything his eyes saw, they find out Dare's world is glitching, and they can barely see anything until they find Mikoto's face amidst the fight, her eyes as white as snow, as if lost in thought. Jay and Miyazaki are confused about why her eyes are fully white. Eventually, they see her return to normal but slightly dizzy and confused. Is she weak to Dare's world, or does she know Dare? During their healing time, they decide to spy on Mikoto to uncover her secrets.

Jay starts by deploying one of his nanodrones for their spying mission, maneuvering it to Mikoto's room under the door. Inside, they observe that the room looks normal except for the heavily scratched door, intriguing Jay. Despite Miyazaki feeling embarrassed and looking away as Mikoto changes her clothes, Jay persists in wanting to uncover everything. However, their surveillance yields no significant findings. Jay positions the drone to capture the entire room and starts recording until the next day when he closes his tablet.

Jay: "She seemed normal at first, but why does the door have scratches?"

Miyazaki: "It might be old, like she just got here two days ago. It would take 48 hours daily to make the door look like this, but she didn't even stay in the hotel a lot."

Jay: "I've set the drone to record everything, and we'll see tomorrow."

The camera shifts to Mikoto in her room on her tablet. She hears a knock on the door, so she gets up to see who's knocking, but she sees no one, only glimpsing a person attempting to hide, which she initially perceives as a prank. However, the situation repeats until Mikoto becomes angry and chases after the mysterious individual, who proves to be unusually fast. As she pursues him, she finds herself led away from the hotel and almost falls into what appears to be a hidden portal. Feeling someone pushing her, she tumbles into the portal and finds herself in Dare's world, where he greets her with a sinister smile, revealing that she fell into his trap.

Dare: "Mikoto, it's been a long time. You've grown up."

Speechless and scared, Mikoto tries to compose herself and responds,

Mikoto: "You destroyed me. What do you want?"

Dare: "And the little girl is brave now. Don't ignore your truth, Aki..."

Mikoto: "Stop calling me that! You destroyed me and killed my parents. What do you want?"

Dare: "You joined them, thinking you were brave enough to fight against me. Do you not think I can destroy you all in seconds?"

Mikoto: "Your plan is insane. It's not the right choice. You've become consumed by your powers. I don't even remember you like this!"

Dare: "I'm still Dare, but I've seen the truth. The unspoken truth about the parallel universe

. Nobody is kind; everyone harbors darkness. The only solution is ethnic cleansing. I'm going to destroy humanity, create a new empire, my own galaxy, my own existence, my own world!"

As Dare rants, screaming maniacally, Mikoto watches him in fear and terror, realizing he has completely lost it.

Dare: "I'm going to be the greatest villain ever, the complete one, the 100% monster. I'm going to awaken existence, making them all see the unspoken truth, revealing my plans and thoughts, creating the perfect world. I'm going to change existence!"

Mikoto, tearfully, replies, "Since you unlocked all ten gates in your mind seeking power, you've opened a gap where every person in this galaxy's thoughts flow into your brain, driving you completely insane. You've successfully destroyed your character, becoming a monster."

Dare snaps and teleports Mikoto back to her room, erasing her memory of the encounter.

Dare: "Since that stupid ten gates, I've been thinking of every possibility in everything. I gotta finish that plan fast before my brain dies."

Dare goes into a room, and we find out that Dare isn't alone; he sits with six more people. The room is dark, so you can't see them, but you can tell they're going to be a pain in the ass.

The scene shifts back to Mikoto, who's in her bed, not remembering anything that happened. She thought she accidentally fell asleep out of tiredness, so she gets up and starts her day.

At night, Miyazaki and Jay meet again in Jay's room, watching the drone recording. They see nothing wrong until they notice that Mikoto left the place because someone is knocking on her door frequently. So, she chased that person until they left the hotel hours later. Mikoto went back to her bed instantly, as if she had been teleported. They start to get more suspicious, but how the city has an anti-powers policy, meaning no one can use powers registered in the system.

Jay: "That's definitely a power that is forbidden to be used in the city."

Miyazaki: "What do you mean?"

Jay: "This city has an anti-power system where no one can use the powers that are registered in the system of that anti, and teleportation is the most known one for it to be in the system. So, somehow, Mikoto bypassed that system. But she doesn't even have teleportation powers."

Miyazaki: "What are her powers? I still don't understand."

Jay: "Her powers are Elemental Transmutation; she can transform one element into another by rearranging its atomic structure. For example, she can turn gold into oxygen or change fire's element. But it takes a lot of energy. So, we have to tell Floyd about it. There might be an intruder because someone knocked on her door, leading her into a potential trap. You can tell from the room camera that she left running towards that person until they left the building. But the confusing part is Mikoto is smart; she won't fall for these types of traps, but she gets mad easily. I'm not sure."

Miyazaki: "That's a good idea, but we have to tell Floyd not to take any action until they find out who did it."

Jay: "That's what they're going to do, stupid. For now, go back to your room and sleep. Tomorrow, we have a break, and we're going to spend all of it investigating."

Miyazaki: "Man, I wanted to relax... Fine!"

Miyazaki goes back to his room, angry that he won't enjoy the break because of the investigation.
