Our story today starts with our friend Marwa. Marwa was a diligent student but her class was the most turbulent class in the school. One day, Marwa entered her class and went out five times. Even though the class hadn't started yet, every student, especially the troublesome ones, was sitting in their places peacefully waiting for the teacher to come in. Marwa thought there was a problem with her classmates. Every time she asked someone she felt like there was something behind her stopped her from talking. But when she turned around, there was no one. In the end, Marwa sat in her place surprised by her unusual class' atmosphere.
The classes had started, one after one, and no one went out of his/her disk. The lunch time had begun, and as usual, some students stayed in class studying and Marwa was one of them. While Marwa was opening her book, she heard a loud voice from the other class. No one of her classmates seemed to have an interest in that and continued what they were doing as if nothing happened. Suddenly, Fadia, one of Marwa's classmates, came in and sat in her disk. Fadia was one of the bad bullies in the school where she loved to bully weak students so much, and her relationship with Marwa was the worst ever since kindergarten. Marwa thought that Fadia had done something again so she went towards her and said in a sharp voice: "Fadia, what did you do this time??"
"Nothing…" Fadia replies quietly.
"What do you mean by nothing?" Marwa said in anger. "What was that voice a while ago!?"
"There was no voice," Fadia replies in strange quiet. "You were imagining that."
"I will tell the supervisor if you don't tell me!" Marwa said in anger.
Fadia stayed quiet, and her quietness was strange. She didn't get angry at Marwa as usual and stayed quiet more than the unusual. Suddenly, the class became dark, and everything Marwa was able to see was an unknown light in front of her and it seemed that it was talking to her.
"Be quiet!" The light said.
"Who are you? What is happening?" Marwa asked in fear.
"Don't talk about what you saw or heard." The light said. "And I promise you that you will stay fine, Marwa."
The light disappeared out of sight of Marwa who found herself standing in front of the school's gate where all students were returning to their houses after school.
"What just happened!?" Marwa thinks between herself. "A while ago, I was in the class, and now I am in front of the school's gate. Lunchtime hadn't finished yet, and now school had ended and we should return home! What was that light!? Who is it!? What does it need?"
In the middle of the noise inside Marwa's mind, a quiet and nice voice was calling out to her as high as it could and that kept Marwa astonished.
"Marwa! What happened, sister?" Marwa's little sister asked.
"Who!? Rema!? How!?" Marwa asked surprisingly.
"What do you mean with how?" Ream said in cute anger. "I was calling you out for somehow half an hour…Let's go sister, brother Ramis is waiting for us."
Rema walked away thinking her sister was walking after her, but Marwa was surprised.
"R..Rema in school!? But she got into an accident last week and she's now in a coma!" Marwa thinks between herself. "Ramis!? Ramis is graduated from school and he's now studying at a university in French! He's not here!"
Marwa ran as fast as she could to see he brother, Ramis, holding Rema on his shoulder. When Ramis saw Marwa, he approached her and patted her head asking: "Hello, sister. How was your day?"
Marwa didn't answer because of her shock and Ramis felt that there was something wrong with his sister.
"Marwa, Is there something wrong?" Ramis asked anxiously.
"Weren't you in French!?" Marwa asked surprisingly.
"French!?" Ramis wonder. "Why would I be in French!?"
"You know. Studying at university there?" Marwa replied.
Ramis laughed then he said: "You have a big imagination, Marwa! I didn't even graduate yet and you want me to study at university? And where? In French!?"
Marwa was shocked and didn't know how to reply. So, she left her brother and walked away towards home while looking at the ground.
"What is happening today!? Everything is strange." Marwa thinks. "Is it possible that I am dreaming? There is one way to know."
Marwa looked at the street where the traffic light was green for the cars' movement.
"If I was dreaming…" Marwa thinks. "I won't die!"
Recklessly, Marwa threw herself in front of a speeding car with her eyes closed. She felt a hand around her then a sudden fall on the ground. Marwa opened her eyes slowly to see her classmate, Kamel, rescue her. Kamel stood quickly and yelled at her: "Are you crazy!? You were about to die! I saw you throwing yourself in front of the car, what happened to you!?"
Marwa looked at herself to find that she hurt her hand and was bleeding on the street.
"I am not dreaming!" Marwa said surprisingly and quietly.
"What!?" Kamel asked in anger.
Marwa stood up and ran away from the accident place and all the students that saw that towards her home.
In home, Marwa entered her room quickly and close the door. She sat on the floor and held her knees together.
"What is happening!?" Marwa thinks. "I am not dreaming! Then, everything is real!? Is it possible that what I remember is the dream!? And now I am living the reality!? But what was that light!? Rema is not in coma and Ramis is not in French…and my class is so quiet!!?
Her thoughts were interrupted by the knocking on the door. She shout as possible as she could: "Leave me alone! I don't want to see or talk to any one!!"
"Marwa, it's me, Kamel. I am sorry for yelling at you earlier, I was worried and angrey and didn't control my anger…" Kamel said behind the door.
Marwa didn't answer.
"You seem confused a little bit, you can tell me whatis going on." Kamel continued. "Come on, Marwa, everyone is worried about you. Please, tell what happened?"
Marwa tried to talk but she remembered the light's words: "Don't talk about what you heard or saw…Be quiet or else…"
Marwa held her knees together in huge fear. Then, she heard Kamel whispered behind the door: "Did you see the light?"
Marwa opened the door and pulled Kamel inside then close it again. She looked to him surprised.
"Then, you did see it." Kamel said quietly. "We become two..."
"What do you know about it!?" Marwa said in fear and shocked.
"What you know..." Kamel replied. "When we were in the lunchtime, I noticed our classmate Jawad setting alone on one of the playground's disks. I approached him and asked him if he was alright. You know, usually he would be setting with his friends and mock the others, but this time he was totally quite. He looked at me then looked away. I tried to force him to tell me when the light appears and told me to not interfere with others business. After the light's disappearance, I saw myself in front of the school's gate and it seemed that the school had ended. I was walking home thinking about that when I saw you throwing yourself in front a car so I helped you without thinking."
Marwa leaned her back to the door and told everythings happened with her to Kamel. Kame looked at her then he slapped her.
"You tried to throw yourself in front a car to see if it's a dream or not!?" He shouted. "Are you crazy!? Let's say its reality, you would be died!"
"I didn't thought of that…" Marwa said quietly while looking down.
"WhaT!? DIDN'T THINL OF THAT!?" kamel shouted in anger. "Don't lose your mind because of a stupid light! We will find a solution…"
"What are you thinking about?" Marwa asked.
"I don't know but we will find a solution…" Kamel replied while thinking.
In the next morning, Marwa prepared herself as usaual but it was another strange day because of the light. While Marwa was walking in the corridor to reach her class after the lunchtime, someone pull her and get her in the boys' bathroom. She tried to push him when she knew its Kamel.
"What are you doing!?" Marwa shouted but could not continue her talk because Kamel put his hand on her mouth.
"Shhhhh, don't yell!" Kamel whispered. "Someone would hear us out!"
Marwa take away Kame's hand and said: "Why are you doing that!?"
"WE have to talk about that light." Kamel replied. "Meet me in front of the school's gate after class, deal?"
"D..Deal…" Marwa replied.
Kamel went out followed by Marwa without anyone noticed that she was in the boys' bathroom.
"That stupid!! Can't he just tell me that without pulling me inside the boys' bathroom!? HE's totally crazy!" Marwa thinks in anger.
"I am sorry…" Kamel said.
Marwa looked in front to be surprised by Kamel that was looking directly to her. She moved away some centimeters and said: "W...what did you mean!?"
"I didn't mean to pull you inside the boys' bathroom" Kamel replied. "I am sorry. That's all."
"Oh. Eh… Yes, its ok!" Marwa said nervously then she walked away without understanding to what just happened.
