One year later…
The morning sun came barreling through the colorful room. Marv laid on her back with Veda's legs on either side of her. She was reading her book while Marv stared at the handwritten letter in her hand. Marv ran her fingers over Noah's handwriting and thought about what the letter might contain, how it made her anxious but also excited about what it might say. Maybe it was time to read it.
Veda notices Marv running her fingers over the words again and again. "Are you deciding to read it?" She asked, looking down at her wife.
"I think it is time," Marv hummed softly.
"Well, we don't have much to do today, just ice cream by the pond," Veda said, looking at Marv. "Maybe you can do it then"
"Maybe," Marv said, looking down at the letter. "Or I can do it now" she was about to open the letter but a knock sounded at the door.
"Expecting anyone?" Veda looked down at Marv, who was already looking at her.
