Marv sat on a boat, with a bottle of blood against her lips as she stared at a doorway. She took a sip of it now and then, staring at a doorway with stone stairs moving up into it, tall pillars stood on either side of the doorway and an empty void lingered where the wooden door used to stand but was now rotting away. The dome roof had a pointy tip at the top and faded jewels around it, it was in the middle of still water, just standing there like a monument to a forgotten city.
Marv wiped her mouth, placed the blood in a carry bag before rolling up her cargo pants and stepping into the water. She swished through the water, side to side, until she got to the stairs and there was a sense of eeriness that flowed from the hallway, like she didn't belong here but she pushed the feeling away. She sat down putting her combat boot back on and descended the stone stairs.
