Marv found herself at the end of the dark hallway of bone and death. The eeriness didn't change from the last time she was here, the time when she found out the truth and how it affected her life from here on out. Marv walked deeper in, past the tombs of bodies, and then looked into the altar room. She saw flashes of Arioch standing on the spot where she killed him. She tracked deeper, standing in front of the water where Arioch once kneeled.
She pulled out the ring from her pocket after Nandi gave it to her. She didn't dare to wear it, but she knew instantly where to put it. "it's been hard," she said to the spot of water. "I don't know what I am doing here. Maybe I am here to ask forgiveness, or maybe I want you to apologize, but I do know that this belongs to you" She threw the ring into the holy water.
