Chapter 44 - I hate Surprises

Minjun guides a blindfolded Marv down the wooden stairs towards the beach, sand crashing under her shoes as she slowly makes her descent. The moment her heels sank into the sand, she came to a stop and took of her boots. She wiggled her toes in the soft sand. Minjun took her hand again and guided her further down the beach. 

Arioch stood just out of reach of the shoreline, watching Marv walk towards him. He could help but stare at those thick legs and those lips he had just captured earlier. A lump settled in his throat. He was doing this; he was going to end this for her, for them and deep down in his heart he had no regrets. 

Minjun stopped Marv in front of the dining room table. "Is this a bad time to tell you that I hate surprises?" she said, with an awkward smile. 

Arioch chuckled, placing his hands into his pockets. "a little late for that, Kanna," he said, walking up to her and taking her hand. "Are you surprised?" he whispered into her ear.
