Marv and Arioch run for the front door of the White House, they were already soaked by the time they got onto the covered stoop. Arioch looked down at the raindrops that landed on Marv's eyelashes, her hair was a chandelier of rain and cheeks flush with ruby red but her skin was cold. Arioch dragged off his gloves, reaching out to touch her softly curly but Marv turned away from him.
"Let's get in, this isn't Durban rain" Marv began to wipe her face. "I might get a cold," she whispered to herself.
Arioch opened the door for her. But as the door crept open but as soon as Marv's look at those white walls and that itchy feeling came crawling up her arm. She hesitated sitting in it again, so she just stood watching the hardwood floors and wanting to disappear into them. Arioch just stood silently next to her, watching her hesitate for a moment.
"I will stay out here." Marv, the wet breeze, was more home than sitting in that room again. "it is nice out"
