Thuddd-Thuddd-Thuddd
A huge reptilian monster bashed on the steel coated large main gate of a tall skyscraper, rapidly without any breaks, joined by others of his race, like mad monster, which they are, are killing people in every nook and crack without any mercy. There yellow eyes have a large diluted black cornea which is looking around the whole place near the skyscraper as a mere food heaven for them.
The guards with all their might and strength are holding the main gate with all the things disposable at their hands currently without thinking twice about their value. Some were putting cars at the main gate to form a makeshift barricade, while others are cursing in the name of God and asking themselves what they have done wrong to suffer this calamity.
Midst of all this chaos a peculiar tall and muscular guard is looking towards the scene of the huge reptilian creature in front of his eyes and still not able to believe if it is his dream or not, but even after slapping himself for a number of times the scene still persisted, he understood that the horror in front of him is true,
"…This is the end…." Whispered the guard in short and hushed voice.
Similar scenes of havoc are happening on the whole globe including Europe, Asia, and other continents too. The governments of their respective countries are trying their best to do everything they can to stabilize this sudden calamity, some countries suggested to launch nukes while some debated with a more watch and act attitude while ensuring to make the best safety protocols inside and around important areas.
The UN, the world mediator, the peacemaker, is one of the most devastated place on whole earth, currently about 70% of all the powerful people of earth are present inside a big conference hall, sitting on a large table and watching multiple footages that are delivered real time to them with stress induced faces, on the one of the screen the South and North American continents are hit with different type of reptilian creatures whereas the Asia continent is ravaged by multiple type of flying creatures that are a mix of Pterosaurs and Lion, the Antarctica where the least bit of human activity is possible is rapidly freezing the nearby melting water, looking towards the scene of reshaping of the whole Antarctica continent the Presidents and Prime Ministers of different nations sweated profusely,
"Show me the reason behind that!" the premier of China shouted while pointing towards the screen showing irregular activities in Antarctica, listening to his command the officer gulped and swiftly enlarged the view on the main screen of the room which is about 45 feet, the enormous screen got more detailed by graphic cleaning which the officer had done.
All the leaders of various countries moved there focus towards the main screen and looked shocked towards what was happening in there.
Inside Antarctica, the fifth largest continent of earth having 13.66 million km2 , is getting reformed and expanded rapidly, if this is said to any natural activist he will jump in joy but in current scenario this is not the case. The reason behind the solidification of ice on Antarctica is because a group of tens of thousands of different type of huge white sea lions are spiting a whitish ice laser on the water surface which is making the water freeze instantly.
Looking towards the unnatural yet completely mind-blowing phenomena from their own eyes the world leaders came to a sudden halt and dived in deep thinking of what to do.
Among them the chef representative of UN Council moved forward and attracted attention towards himself,
"Everyone!" the spokesperson shouted and all the eyes moved towards him in an instant.
Using the microphone on his table he said
"We are currently facing an anonymous calamity, which has never seen before in the whole world for this after deep thinking I purpose 3-point strategy to counter it."
All the people inside the conference room got their interest piqued especially the leaders of countries that are hit too much badly
"Firstly, evacuate people located inside low danger prone areas into government regulated safe points, for this we have to pool our resource to make a makeshift but strong mobile safe camp. By doing this we can use them as our manpower which we are severely lacking right now."
All the leaders inside agreed to it instantly while one asked,
"But what about the people struck inside or near monster hub-"
The spokesperson cut him in between and replied,
"Sacrifice, we have no option then that, we do not have much resources at our disposal to save every one and also by leaving them they will act as a decoy which we can use to get other people out of monsters reach safely, and later we can destroy those areas to get rid of those monsters. I know this action is cruel and ruthless but hats our only shot." the spokesperson speak as a matter of fact with a cold and calculated glint.
All the world leaders made their head down but no one refuted the spokesperson as this is the only way for their survival.
Looking towards the glooming face the people, the spokesperson continued,
"Secondly we have to get as much information as we can about this phenomenon, while also trying to catch weaker monsters and giving them to research labs to their work."
This point got approved without any hesitation by all the people as it is necessary to under this situation and to find if there is any way they can turn the tables of this sudden aggression. Now everyone waited for the spokesperson to make his last point.
Looking towards them, the spokesperson himself gulped a mouthful of saliva and spoke.
"For the last and final point, to counter this calamity that threatens humanities survival itself, we have to abolish all the governments or ruling systems of the whole globe and form one and only organization to handle the whole humanity, the World Government."
Like a nuclear bomb that gets dropped off on a surface, the whole conference room submerged in complete pin drop silence as if inside the conference no one was present, but the look on the faces of the world leaders said another tale.
But one thing that is clear to humanity that on 2 August 2020, a new chapter of development is opened, a future for humans is still meek and dark in this coming of New Age.
Amid the huge changes happening all over the world, a simple looking 21-year young man with an average forgettable face, ashen brown eyes and jet-black hairs wearing white shirt, navy blue slim fit trousers and a navy-blue tie with a phoenix logo on it, can be seen inside a glorious looking glass skyscraper, struck inside a lift while staring on his mobile screen with mouth agape, making heads or tails about what is happening now.
Yes, this is me, Ethan with no surname, currently I am struck inside a damn lift on 40th floor while contemplating whether I am dreaming or is it reality, for this I slapped my face until my cheeks got swollen and after an intensive assessment of everything I have seen and heard till now points to one conclusion, and that my friends is,
Not wanted to exclaim more about the importance of time, I clearly remember the whole novel thanks to my repeated reading of the same. So, what happens in the running 24 hours decide everyone's life or death, certainly not kidding because, this building is going to be destroyed by a bomb in next 15 hours by the government to control and isolate important areas while making us bait of these monsters. In short, I have to leave this damn place fast, but the question is how?
I looked at the time on my phone
[8:45 AM]
I have to get out of here and move away for distance before mid-night or more precisely before tomorrow, with this as my goal I started searching and pressed every button on the lift but maybe due to the sudden tremor the main electricity connection broke off,
"Shit!" I cursed under my breath while making my head look towards ceiling with a frustrated breath,
Suddenly I remembered that lifts have an upper small gate to access the lift lines for maintenance, with new found fervor I tried to jump as high as possible and to let you guys know my height is about 6'2 pretty tall then average, after some unsuccessful attempt I clutched the know of the small gate and twisted it around clockwise direction and the gate opened
Looking through the small gate I saw darkness probably because there is no illumination put inside the lift lanes, with another jump I clutched the side of small gate and pushed my body upwards, after orienting myself a bit I looked the ropes that is connected to the lift, it is made of carbon fiber which is improved using high tensile strength metals or probably not. I am not a expert in this subject, jerking my head off towards the nearest gap which connects the floor with lift I contemplated,
'How can I reach that?'
Glancing towards the lift ropes
'I will climb their'
With this I started the climb using the ropes to climb while using the walls of the lane as support, actually I have never done climbing before but only saw it in moves or some parkour videos which made me think that it is easy but for climbing just a single floor, I rejected my theory just a little later I started sweating profusely as my body arched due to very much not needed workout but remembering the monster and the bomb by the government I shivered and focused again on my task.
When I reached the gap inside the lane network then a realization stuck me
'How will I open this door'
As such I started searching my briefcase for something to open this door,
'a pen, no, a sandwich, no nom nom, a ruler, no, a nail cutter, maybe' with only a nail cutter in my hand I tried to find a single dent on the sealed door with very much hard work and a lot of frustration the door opened slightly just to put two finders inside but for this the nail cutter got disfigured,
"I will remember your sacrifice my friend, rest in peace" with clear sarcasm in my tone I threw the nail cutter and pushed the small gap with all my force,
"Ahhhh, open you damn door!"
After 1 hour of intense pulling with the floor's sealed gate, the gate opened to allow me to pass, with stars in my eyes I pushed my way through it and regained my lost freedom.
"Finally! I am free."
ROARRRRRRR
A sudden roar echoed inside my brain that almost made my ears bleed if I was near the source.
Looking towards there I saw a misfit scene made me humor my own mentality.
"RUN!!!" a panicked voice reverberated with sudden hasty.
Hearing the voice, I stretched my neck towards its origin and with clear frustration and fear evident inside my voice, cursed loudly
"Fuck my luck...!"
