"Hi! I've been thinking about you! Mommy as well, but she doesn't want to admit it since daddy starts discussing stuff with her.
I don't like how they fight because of you, but I know it's not your fault.
Can't you do something about it? Daddy says that he won't give up unless you apologize, but I'm not sure about what you need to apologize for. I asked mommy but she said that you don't need to, so I'm really confused!
Anyway, my birthday is getting closer! I'm not saying you should give me something but…"
The letter continued with a lot of rambling, jumping from one topic to another, until Amelia, Allen's cousin, decided to stop, not without asking of him five different gifts, one more expensive than the other.
He let out an exasperated breath, raising an eyebrow. 'I mean, I guess I'm glad she got over it, but isn't it kinda shameless to ask for birthday gifts? We don't even know each other that well!'
A hearty laugh escaped from his mouth as he put the letter back inside his bag. 'Well, I guess I can buy at least a few candies for her, nothing too crazy.'
As he stood up from the ground, he used both of his hands to cast a cleaning spell, from his head, all the way to his feet, removing any and all dirt that could've stuck to him. 'Man, I sometimes wonder why even use a wand, but then I remember she's a jealous bird and stop thinking about it.'
'Which reminds me…' He took out his wand from his pocket and before it could get mad at him, Allen casted a few spells of the Wand Raising Charm, calming it down as he walked back to the castle.
It was almost time for curfew, but he decided to spend some time outside of the castle, thinking about the stuff that happened in the year. If he were to be honest, not a lot, and yet, it felt like everything happened, he had to take care of the curse surrounding Professor Dikshit as well, but he already did it the previous year, doing it again it's not a big deal.
'It's just a hassle.' He thought as he took a turn towards the dungeons, evading prefects using the disillusionment charm, swirling Hestia around him to cast it.
His whole body blended with the environment, giving the illusion that nothing was there, the downside was that he wasn't used to it, so the walk back to the dorm would be a slow one, if he found a prefect anyway.
A yawn escaped his mouth after whispering the password to the solid wall in front of him, making the bricks move around and transfiguration into a door.
'Well, tomorrow's another day, let's see if something happens.'
—----------------------------
"So, why did you want us to check the girls' bathroom? Only Myrtle is in there, nothing too exciting." Sophia pointed at her back with her thumb, indicating the bathroom.
Allen let out a small 'hmm' before answering. "I'm curious as to why no one uses it. It can't be only because of Myrtle, can it?"
Sophia and Elsie shrugged at him almost at the same time, giving him a cold stare.
"S- So! Nothing?" He quickly tried to change the topic. "Not even on the taps?"
Elsie shook her head. "Nothing, the taps were the first thing we checked, actually. Nothing on the top nor the bottom.
Are you sure nothing is going on?" She asked suspiciously.
A groan left his mouth as he began to think, 'If there is no serpent in one of the taps, its because the heir isn't here yet, but then, does that mean that the entrance can change locations at will or… does it require the heir's magic to open up?
But that doesn't make sense if we stick to the canon, Ginny Weasley didn't have the heir's magic… So, is it the parseltongue after all?
It's magic in the form of words, and that makes it more difficult to handle. If the entrance to the chamber is something similar to what my parents did to the vault's defense system, then that means I'll have to wait until the heir appears.'
"Thanks for the help!" Allen exclaimed as he hung his arms around their shoulders, a small tint of red showed on their faces as they walked back to the great hall.
—------------------------------
"As I've been telling you! Time and time again! That is not how you cast a spell! This is how!" Shouted Professor Dikshit, moving the student who was in front of the class with a wave of his wand, returning him to his seat.
"Bibidi, bobidi, bowaa!" He shouted incomprehensible gibberish, waving his wand again, but this time, a flashy green light shout out of the tip of his wand, hitting directly at the target in front of him.
"Now, anyone wants to make any guess as to what spell I used?" He looked around the classroom, hoping to get a victim- a smart enough student to understand.
"You!" He pointed at one of the kids and use another spell to make them stand up involuntarily. "Answer."
"Uh… I mean…" The kid tried to come up with something, anything. He was a muggleborn, so for him, the meaning of those words had another meaning.
After a solid minute of thinking, he decided to give up. "Isn't it just the spell the fairy godmother uses in Cinderella?!"
A shocking silence pass over the classroom, some muggleborns silently agreeing with her, while others looked at him with pitying eyes.
And there was a third group.
"Do you know what she's talking about?" Whispered William to Allen's ear.
He gave him a silent nod before casting a spell to block any sound from escaping their small bubble. "Yeah, it's a muggles movie, how can you not know? Your parents are muggleborns as well."
"Well, yeah but that's that and this is this." He made a motion with his hands as if separating the two topics.
"Regardless, I don't think it's because of that." Added Armand to the conversation before the sound of a shattered glass resounded around the three of them, making them jump in their seats.
"Anything you would like to add, Mr Cooper, Mr Lionheart, Mr Malfoy?" The professors' voice turned down to a low tone, making his previous shouting seem like they never existed, and his face went from a crazy stare, to a calm and collected one.
"Yes, um-" Before Allen could say anything more, the professor waved his wand again, making the three of them stand up and when he was done, he sat down the girl from before.
"Now, tell me. What was the spell I used against the dummy?" He tapped his wand on the side of his arm, right as he crossed his arms.
"Expelliarmus." Said Allen bluntly. "By the form, colour and speed of the spell-"
Professor Dikshit interrupted him again, casting a silencing charm on his mouth before he could react. "No cheating, Mr Lionheart, let your friends answer." He pointed at his own eyes with his index finger, signaling him to not use his ability.
"…" Allen gave a paused nod before he sat down. 'It's not cheating though, I was born with it…' He rambled on in his own mind.
"To distract the opponent, Sir, if they hear a spell the y are not familiar with, they won't know how to react to it, or how to deflect it. Unless they know the exact colour and composition of the spell." Finished Armand as he gave a meaningful look at Allen.
Allen crossed his arms, resigned to being called out. 'Showoff.'
Professor Dikshit nodded to himself, closing his eyes as he thought over Armand's answer. "I like it, unfortunately for the four of you, I just made it up for no reason in particular." A grin escaped his mouth.
'Then what was the point of showing it off…?' The whole classroom thought about it in complete silence, not daring to answer back to him.
--------------------
The more he looked at it, the more Allen thought it was weird, the cursed seemed to want to wrap around Professor Dikshit, but whenever it began to wrap around his dantian, it would shrivel up and run away, only to try it again after a few hours.
'Does he have a stronger immunity to curses or is he doing something in particular…?
At this point I won't have to intervene… What's more, it feels like the professor will break the curse on its own.'
'Well, but to be safe, just in case.' He shrugged his shoulders and summoned a multitude of ghost hands, appearing behind him, this time the number of hands increased considerably so that it was almost impossible to count them.
He cracked his fingers and the fifty or so hands followed along, creating a bizarre sight.
After four hours of struggle, he threw the curse again towards Albania, again. 'He still hasn't moved from there, uh? Well, it's better for me, I just won't hope he won't realize what I'm doing.'
He cleaned his real hands before turning back and running back towards the castle in his animagus form. Professor McGonagall had already told them to not use it so willy nilly, but as long as no one sees him, it should be okay.
'To think I changed so much in a year, or close to it at the very least.' Allen grinned to himself as a growl left his mouth.
"Hmm. So that's why I felt observed for so long." Muttered Professor Dikshit under his breath as he saw Allen leaving the castle grounds and running back towards the castle, and more importantly, his common room.
--------------------------
"Any thoughts about teaching other students about your own process to become animagus?" Asked Professor Mc Gonagall to the five of them, classes were almost done for the year and she wanted to set up a small conference for some of the students who are curious about the process, and nothing better than to learn from someone their own age or even younger.
"If they can do it, so can I."Is what I want them to think. The country would greatly benefit from a greater influx of animagus, not to mention the process is nothing too hard, it's tedious. But that's all, as you can recall." She smiled at them warmly, asking for their opinion on the matter.
"I… honestly don't think it's a good idea. Imagine a bunch of children running about in the castle in the form of animals. Smells like a recipe for disaster." He nodded his head, convinced of his own argument.
"I would appreciate your input, Mr Cooper, if you weren't the first one to abuse it." She said coldly.
"I feel like I didn't made myself clear enough, this is not a request, I'm asking you to do it for the next year so more students can be informed of the process."
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to plan with the rest of the professors when is it going to happen and what we'll let you do and don't.
Professor McGonagall quickly made them stand up, leaving the five of them in shock after exiting her office.
An excruciating silence passed between them until Allen finally spoke. "That's why I didn't want to register, too much stuf."
He crossed his arms as the rest of them looked at him with a bewildered look.
