When Kenzo stepped out of the car, he wore a black crow mask that covered his face. He had black gloves on his hands, and his body was completely concealed by a suit of the same color, hiding any trace of his skin.
"Greetings, Crow Master!"
The Second Order's crows, who were non-combatants, were responsible for protecting the official facilities according to their schedule and regulations. They did not engage in any activities that might compromise them, so there was no problem with them being involved in any suspicious activities.
The hospital facilities were divided into three parts: public, private, and secret. Kenzo was currently heading to the secret areas in the company of Number One, who was following closely behind him.
Kenzo looked at the exquisite decorations in the hospital, which was undeniably a beautiful place. As he walked down a long hallway, he glanced at an elevator and asked Number One, "How is that boy named Kaneki doing?"
Number One pondered for a moment and replied, "He's still in a coma, but he's alive. It's quite surprising that he could survive after receiving organs from a Ghoul as a mere human."
Kenzo had thought of this as both an advantage and a problem that he needed to pay close attention to. Firstly, if they started creating Ghouls from humans, they would have the potential to create strong soldiers capable of matching Ghouls, and that would be a significant disadvantage for their future plans.
People like Kenzo mapped out their path from start to finish. There was no middle ground; they had to get from one point to another and resolve all the threats that stood in their way.
"Was there any collateral damage?" Kenzo asked as they waited for the elevator to descend to the lower floors.
Number One replied to Kenzo, "There were no issues during the mission. No victims or witnesses, everything went smoothly, and there's no trace connecting the disappearances to us."
"That's perfect. The last thing I want is the police knocking on the hospital's door. I already have enough problems to deal with, and new issues keep popping up." After a few minutes, the elevator stopped, and a massive corridor opened before them with descending stairs further ahead.
"The facilities have expanded even more since the last time you were here, Crow Master. We've created more training grounds, and production areas have increased after establishing a production facility for wine, sweets, and jelly." From Number One's words, he seemed genuinely excited to be able to enjoy these foods he had heard so much about from his friend, even though they always tasted like dirt when he tried them.
His behavior was typical; all Ghouls were very excited about their new products because they had a unique flavor that they could savor with their taste buds. Research was crucial for them to find more meaning in life; after all, food should be enjoyed in the same way and never be envious of humans, as Ghouls could achieve the same.
"This place always amazes me. Isn't it too vast and intimidating? Any human would wet their pants if they set foot in this place, although that's certainly impossible." Kenzo maintained a calm tone as Number One, this time, led the way to the interrogation room.
The security and presence of Ghouls increased as they moved further into the facilities. In other words, there were hundreds of Ghouls within a hundred meters in every direction, monitoring at all times. As one of the three major facilities, in addition to the other two locations, this place held many of the things that the Three-Eyed Crow organization valued.
Walking through an incredibly vast area, they soon arrived at a cellar where Viper was inside, speaking with Doctor Kanou, who seemed unwilling to say a single word.
Upon entering, Kenzo looked at the somewhat gruesome scene and asked, "What is happening here?"
When everyone heard Kenzo's question, they looked at him for a few seconds before bowing, and Viper, who was in the lead, said, "Master Crow, this is the doctor who created a Ghoul through an organ transplant."
"Please, have a seat. I want you to be comfortable..." Kenzo looked over at Doctor Kanou after walking towards a metal table with various specialized instruments.
"Please, there's no need to torture me!" Doctor Kanou cried out while trembling, seeing Kenzo holding a long, thick needle.
Kenzo smiled beneath his mask and said, "Doctor Kanou, I actually had other plans for this evening with my partner, but the priority you've given me made me decide not to meet with her. Do you understand what you're doing? Let me explain the gravity of the situation. Right now, the CCG is gaining strength due to those fantastic weapons they create with Kagunes from killed Ghouls... Now, what will happen if they have the ability to become Ghouls and decide to create their private army?"
"Viper, what would happen?"
Viper blinked a couple of times and said, "Well, the war we thought would be less disastrous would reach very dangerous levels for the stability of society. If suddenly there are Ghouls fighting for humans, we will face the difficulty of being much more forceful in this war we want to win with minimal effort and damage."
"Yes, well, that is an advantage of our own efforts to create a much better world with fewer monsters we know of. They've caused us a lot of trouble; shouldn't they be trembling with fear right now?" Doctor Kanou asked, seemingly having gone mad.
Kenzo walked over to Doctor Kanou and sat in front of him, sighing lightly at how tiresome this was. "First of all, you need to know that I don't care at all about your inventions. I just need to know where they are made to blow that place to pieces. But, certainly, you would help me if you worked for me. Besides, I need to know why they targeted Miss Rize in their objectives."
"What nonsense are you talking about?!" Doctor Kanou seemed agitated upon hearing this question.
"Come on, we know it all. Originally, she was the test subject in that experiment you conducted with Kaneki... But since we replaced the corpse in the end and took Rize, you had no choice but to use what you had at your disposal. Still, I'm curious, what does the V organization have to do with all of this?"
"Shut up! What nonsense are you talking about? I don't know any organization by that name. I've always acted alone," Doctor Kanou shouted, clenching his teeth in anger.
"Well, I'll ask Rize later... But for now, you have the opportunity to gain influence if you cooperate. So tell me, what's the purpose of these experiments, how many are involved, and what does the V organization have to do with it?" Kenzo stopped smiling; this topic was extremely critical, and he needed to do his best to get answers.
