Chapter 21 - Her Search Continues

Checking up on her as he'd promised Asher, Clive Rand had invited Priya to a bar that he frequented called "The Smog", a small, dingy place that was only ever really busy during the weekends. The patron detective often went there, even on duty, to sit and have a drink along with a plate of oysters. After having one or two drinks, Priya eventually went on a tearful tirade about their situation, clearly missing her boyfriend. After she'd gotten up and returned from the restroom, however, Rand was surprised to see the woman looking as though she'd just seen a ghost.

"—wait, she was in there just now!?" the veteran cop exclaimed as she explained that she'd be accosted by an incognito Passion Princess, who was still hot on her search for Asher. "Christ…she's probably following you. I'm working with her now trying to keep her busy chasing false leads, but I fear it's only a matter of time before she finds out the truth."

"I just want my life back," Priya lamented. "Do you think she'll actually be able to find Asher? And if so, what the hell do you think she's going to do to him?"

"Both of those, I can't guarantee," the detective replied as he stroked his chin and grey goatee. "What she might find, however, is our cover story. If she starts sniffing out the Nepalese Mafia, only to find that they were innocent in threatening Asher, then I don't know where to go from there. I'll actually feel bad for those bastards if she finds them though. At her current mental state, I wonder if she'd outright destroy them…"

"Do you think Priya was lying, ANA?" Passion Princess asked her computer as she sat on top of one of Graveport's skyscrapers beneath the night sky. "I hate to say it, but she sounded believable."

"I did not detect deception in her voice," the heroine's phone replied. "Perhaps you should leave that young woman alone. Rumors of Passion Princess going around strong-arming and interrogating someone who just went through a breakup might be seen in poor taste."

"The media is already reporting that I have a boyfriend," Passion Princess continued, ignoring the advice of her AI. "The thing is, do I even want to the world to know? I want Asher to myself. What if some other woman starts liking him? Ugh, it makes me sick to my stomach imagining some other bitch looking at him. I wish I knew who threatened him so that he can come home already."

"About that. When scanning oncoming trial dates for the following year, I found something," ANA continued. "There is a subpoena issued for a Mukul Destro, but for an unspecified date. Our own criminal database indicates that Destro is the suspected boss of the Kamat crime family in Graveport."

"Kamat? The Nepalese Mafia?" Passion Princess asked with a raise of an eyebrow, her long, blonde hair blowing in the cold wind. "Those guys largely went into hiding after Thunder King destroyed most of their hideouts. I heard they recently kicked the Dream Syndicate out of their turf, so I guess they're active again."

"My point is, this subpoena lacks a date, but it was filed almost 2 weeks ago," the computer continued. "Was that not when Mister Avril entered witness protection?"

"It was. I think this is a lead worth following up on," Passion Princess grinned as she cracked her knuckles. "Let's not waste any time getting suited up. I'm going to raid that hideout right now."

"Their last known location was a strip club that they were running outside the old projects," ANA explained. "It's called 'Mount Pleasure' and it's also been suspected of being a hub for human trafficking. Now, I should add that I have my suspicions about this subpoena, it all seems kind of suspicious. Like it was entered into the system as a placeholder."

"I don't care, I'm heading there now to check it out!" the heroine exclaimed as she blasted off into the sky, gliding over the city below and scanning the buildings. The wind rushing past her as she weaved in between the towering structures, she scanned huge swaths of Graveport in little time.

Reaching the projects, a series of low income apartments and public housing, her incredible eyesight only took a few moments to spot the sketchy, sleazy sex club, nearly missing it due to the fact that it appeared to be closed. Charging at the shuttered building, Passion Princess smashed through the front door, still clad in her t-shirt and black leggings instead of her normal caped hero costume.

Looking around inside, the club resembled most contemporary stripper establishments, with a stage, a pole, a few cafeteria-like tables scattered around it, as well as a bar in the back. Her ears perking up, searching for the slightest of sounds, Passion Princess grinned as she sensed several people coming up behind her.

"Nice ass, lady," one man chuckled as he cocked his pistol and pointed it at the back of the blonde heroine's head. "You looking for a job?"

"The height on her, she could make us some money," another man agreed as he nestled a submachine gun under his arm. "Of course, there is the question as to how she knew to come here when our front door specifically states that we are closed. Do people not read any more?"

"Yeah, yeah, where is your boss? I'm seriously losing my patience now," Passion Princess sighed with annoyance.

"Uh, lady? We're the ones with the guns here, so you'll be answering our questions, not the other way around," the first man scoffed as he stepped forward. Both he and his comrade were dressed in black suits and ties.

"Yeah, and the fact that you're even asking about the boss is—

The man was cut off when Passion Princess abruptly charged at him almost too fast to see and in a swift movement of her hand, broke his wrist with an audible snap. Yelping in pain, his gun dropped to the ground and he fell to his knees after it. Blinking in shock, the other man aimed his gun at the tall blonde's face, only to receive a shoe to the nose as her strong, muscular leg kicked up at him. Flying backwards all the way to the door, he crashed in a heap, unconscious.

"Your boss, where is he?" the heroine repeated to the one that was still conscious, who was whimpering and clutching his limp wrist.

"W-who are you?" he asked.

"That's Passion Princess, isn't it obvious?" another voice called. "How many 7-foot women are out here in Graveport?"

A door opened and out walked a tall, lanky man dressed in a dark grey suit with a blue morning glory flower pinned to his jacket. His black hair extremely thick and styled in a pompadour, he stepped forward on a pair of glittering, shiny black shoes. 4 men in black suits quickly flanked him, the automatic assault rifles in their arms trained on the abnormally tall woman.

"Mukul Destro?" Passion Princess asked, moving her hands to her wide hips.

"Yes, and I wondered when another big league superhero would come for me," the mob boss explained as he donned a pair of black gloves. "I am a Category 3 villain, after all. That thunder guy got lucky, but even someone a strong as you has some nerve coming here on my turf."

"Asher Avril, does that name ring a bell?" the heroine asked flatly, uninterested in the villain's explanation.

"True, this club is a far cry from the lavish strongholds that the Kamat family is used to," Destro began, pacing in front of the stalwart woman. "But my empire will rebuild, I will bring this family back to the prestige that it had under my predecessors. Look around all you want, Miss Princess, but I assure you that you will not find anything illegal here."

"Asher Avril. Did you threaten him?" Passion Princess repeated, a deep annoyance in her voice.

"Who the hell is that?" the mobster snickered, before stopping to put his hands in his pockets. "Either way, I have no obligation to answer you. I have done nothing wrong…heheh, yet. Now, until you return with a warrant, my men shall escort you off the premises."

"You heard the boss. Back off, lady," one of the gun-toting guards ordered as he and the 3 others stepped towards her.

Sighing, Passion Princess flew towards the first man and punched him square in the chest. Following a cracking sound, he flew straight through the nearest wall. Their eyes wide, the 3 others opened fire, filling the dingy club with gunshots. Harmlessly peppering her body, the heroine ignored the bullets and grabbed the arm of another and threw him over her shoulder, sending him flying all the way across the room and through the glass window on the other side, breaking through it and riddling his body with shards

Growling, another guard yet attempted to melee the towering woman with his rifle, only for it bend across her back. Glaring at him, Passion Princess took a fast, abrupt leap towards him and smashed into his body with her enormous, solid figure. His head in particular bouncing off of her giant breasts, which were tightly concealed in her t-shirt, the guard broke through the wall nearby to where his comrade had smashed into earlier. The remaining mobster attempted another technique, using some fishing wire to attempt to strangle the heroine from behind.

Having to jump just to reach her neck, the man watched as Passion Princess hovered into the air out of reach, turned around, and to the shock of the guard, wrapped her thick thighs around his head and forced his face into her crotch. With a quick flex of her thighs, the heroine crushed his head with a loud cracking sound, before releasing her hold and letting him fall to the floor unconscious and with blood trickling out of his nose and ears.

"T-that was uncalled for," Destro stammered after watching his guards get obliterated. "But fine, let this be known that I only did this in self-defense!"

Spreading his arms, the mobster's arms began to steam while his hands started to glow blue.

"You're not the only one with the ability to freeze!"
