Chapter 35 - 35 A Sign of My Love for You

"Yes, because of you," Ken said with a smile.

"What do you mean, why because of me?" asked Lidya confused.

"Because of your beautiful, shining face, there was a guest of this restaurant who immediately responded and immediately disagreed with the treatment of a manager of this restaurant to you as a guest of this restaurant, therefore, he immediately acted to help you."

"Ugh... that's a far-fetched reason, Ken. Moreover, that man from the Diamond Group never once looked at me, how could it be because of my face that he helped us? It's so far-fetched."

"It's possible that he was looking at you from a distance. Hahaha. Never mind. Let's just eat, you're already hungry." After that, Ken started to take a large slice of pizza to put on Lidya's plate.

After that, Lidya ate with gusto because she was already very hungry. She had deliberately skipped lunch to eat a lot at this restaurant, because she wanted to celebrate this date with Ken. Besides, there was one thing she wanted to say.

After finishing her meal, Lidya began her next objective. "Look, Ken. I want you to think about that offer from Jaya Raya Investments because it's for your future too."

Ken looked at Lidya and said, "No. My future is at Mulia Investments with you. You are my future. I don't want to be away from you. I've been with you all year, but could only see your face from a distance. Now that I can see you this close, I don't want to be away from you anymore."

"But, we can still be together after office hours. Moreover, Jaya Raya Investments' office is close to Mulia Investment's office so we can both visit each other, and pick each other up when we go home. Right?"

"No, Lidya. If I'm there, I'll keep thinking about you later, when Ardi is back at the office. By then, he'll have more time to spend with you than me, who has to work somewhere else. Right?"

"Be sure of me, Ken. I've never accepted Ardi's love for me and that won't change now that I have you. I'm even more convinced that I will never accept it. So, have faith in me, Ken."

"No, Lidya. I still don't want to take that risk, so please... let me stay near you, let me stay in our office."

"But your career is blocked in our office, Ken. You can't move up, I can't fight for you because Ardi has used his father's influence to block your career in our office."

"It's okay, Lidya. As long as we can still be together, as long as our hearts are still together, as long as we can see each other every day, then for me it's much better than me pursuing my career elsewhere."

Lidya closed her eyes. She actually regretted that Ken did not take the golden opportunity from Jayaraya Investments because it was for Ken's future, but because Ken insisted like this, Lidya finally opened her eyes and nodded. "Okay. I'll follow you."

"That's right. Thank you for understanding me. Ken looked deeply at Lidya.

"Okay, where are we going now?"

"I want to take you to the playground."

"Playground?"

"Yes. I want to give you a doll as a gift but I don't want to buy it at a doll shop."

"So?"

"I want to win a prize doll for you because to give something to a girl as beautiful and lovely as you, I have to do it with the effort of a competition or a match because you are very special to me." Ken looked deeply into Lidya's face.

When Lidya finally allowed Ken to continue working with Lidya at Mulia Investments and Securitas, what Lidya had done further added to the affection in Ken's heart.

Because this proves that Lidya really likes Ken regardless of the material. Lydia let Ken remain as a cleaning service, unlike other women who would definitely force Ken to achieve success as the woman wanted.

This made Ken even more convinced of Lidya's sincere love for him. Ken was increasingly convinced that Lidya loved him truly and did not think of material possessions or anything like that, because of that, Ken fell even more in love with Lidya.

Lidya looked at Ken and said, "Okay. Win the best doll for me."

Lidya immediately raised her hand to ask for the bill. Lidya opened her wallet to get her credit card.

The waiter, who had just risen to become the restaurant's new manager, hurried over and said, "The food is free for both of you. So, no need to pay."

"Why is that? There are a lot of frame orders."

"It's a sign of our regret for the old manager's behavior. Besides, it's to celebrate my success as manager of this restaurant. Something I could only dream of before," said the new manager, who had already received instructions from Andreas on what to say to Lidya.

Ken immediately took Lidya away from the restaurant to take her to the playground.

After that, Ken and Lidya went to a playground inside a mall.

After they both rode the merry-go-round and roller coaster, Ken and Lidya went to the doll stand.

Inside this doll stand, there were doll prizes that could be won by participants who paid for the tickets.

Participants must be able to shoot at the target that the participant wants according to the doll desired by the participant and the doll will belong to the participant.

While looking around inside, Ken asked, "So, which doll do you want?"

For a moment, Lidya looked inside, at the dolls arranged neatly on the wall ready for the participant to take if the shot from the participant towards the target shooting board on the top of the dolls hit her.

Finally, Lidya set her sights on a Doraemon doll in the distance.

When Lidya was a child, she was a fan of the movie Doraemon and even today, she still collects Doraemon dolls in her room.

But especially for the doll she was looking at right now, its size and also the bamboo propeller that completed this doll, had never been owned by Lidya, therefore, she wanted to own this doll.

I want to have that doll Lidya pointed her index finger at the Doraemon doll.

"Okay." Ken smiled because he felt that his desire to give a prize through the competition he won was getting a positive response from Lidya.

Ken immediately paid for the ticket and started to take the rifle from the stand guard's hand. After that, Ken began to concentrate for a moment to aim his shot at the Doraemon doll.

The Doraemon doll was at a considerable distance from where Ken was and arguably, this Doraemon doll had the most distance compared to other dolls because other dolls, could be shot quite easily.

Therefore, Ken had to concentrate to shoot the target above the Doraemon doll's head.

"Can you shoot it? If not, maybe another target is better, one that is closer, easier to shoot," Lidya whispered.

Ken immediately shook his head. "No. I want to give you the best and since you like the doll, it will be yours. I promise you that."

Lidya smiled at Ken's words.

"I can't promise you the world's treasures but I can promise you that doll, as a token of my love for you," Ken continued as he began to shoot.

"So sweet."
