Chapter 1 - 1 Young Master Ken

Like any other day, Ken Wong was mopping the floor of his office, waiting for the appearance of his crush, Lidya Hernawan. A girl who is also Ken's office mate.

Their positions are very different. Ken is just an office cleaning service, while Lidya is a stockbroker who, although still a beginner, has a bright future in this stock investment company, which is one of the largest and best stock investment companies in Jakarta.

Almost every morning, Ken always takes the time to mop the floor in the place where Lidya will pass.

Lidya's sweet smile is just what Ken needs to start his tough day. Moreover, Lidya always takes the time to greet Ken and give him her sweet smile, every time Lidya passes by Ken while Ken is working in this office.

For Ken, Lidya was his ray of joy, his rose that always brightened his days.

While other employees would pass Ken by, even, at times, angrily kicking the bucket that served as Ken's work equipment, because they felt their way was being blocked by Ken's mopping activities, Lidya would always pass by with a smile and occasionally say hello by name.

This is what makes Ken think that Lidya is a ray of joy for him.

Actually, Ken and Lidya were never formally acquainted, Ken learned Lidya's name by accident when he heard his friend's call for Lidya, from then on, Ken began to memorize Lidya's name and immediately carved it in the deepest recesses of his heart.

Until one day, Ken began to dare to reprimand Lidya by name when Lidya passed him. Lidya, who was shocked, then immediately responded by calling Ken's name back.

At that time, Ken immediately blossomed when he heard Lidya's call. Because it turned out that Lidya also knew Ken's name and that meant, Lidya also started to find out about Ken.

From then on, Ken and Lidya, always greeted each other every time they met.

"Hello, Ken," greeted Lidya, as Lidya passed Ken from behind Ken's body who was still busy mopping the floor.

"Uh, hello, Lidya," Ken said, smiling at Lidya. Ken's two eyes briefly met Lidya's two eyes. It was only for a second, but it was enough to make Ken happy.

Lidya who was flanked by two of her friends, who were also Lidya's staff or subordinates, seemed to sneer at Ken.

"Kak Lidya, the cleaning service should call you 'ma'am' or 'kak', it's always just a name. It's really rude, sis," said Clara from Lidya's left.

Clara's words were immediately snatched by Yuni, from Lidya's right, "Yes, Sister Lidya. That's not very polite. Kak Lidya has a high position in this office, how can a cleaner like her, just call Kak Lidya, like that."

"Already. That's it. I'm not very old either. I'm probably under Ken's age, so it's okay if he calls me that. Besides, if he calls me Tante, then I won't accept it," Lidya said lightly.

"But, he has to respect your position. You already have a high position in this office. Right, Yun?" Clara asked Yuni for support, to which Yuni nodded her head in reply.

"Never mind, what is the meaning of position. A position is only temporary. One day, I could suddenly lose my position, right?" Lidya said as she continued walking.

"That's impossible. You're among the best young stockbrokers in the city, this company wouldn't dare fire you," Clara said, to which Lidya only shrugged her shoulders.

On the other hand, Ken was still silent while holding his mop handle, Kevin's eyes were still following Lidya's departure with a mesmerized heart.

"WOY!!! WORK!!! DON'T SHUT UP!!!" This shout from behind, successfully made Ken startled, reflexively, Ken immediately focused on moving his mop handle to the office floor to mop.

But, a second later, Ken immediately stopped moving his mop stick when he realized something.

Ken turned his body backwards, while from behind came the sound of someone laughing.

"Lukman! You're doing people again!" Ken said to a chubby, slightly dark-skinned man who wore the same cleaning service uniform as the one Ken was currently wearing.

The man, named Lukman, laughed while holding his beer belly.

"That's why, when you're working, don't stare, hahahahaha," Lukman said, laughing at Ken.

"You already know what I'm staring at," Ken complained as he moved his mop handle.

"That's why, I've told you many times, you have to start approaching that Lidya. reveal your heart. don't just stare, how long will this continue? You've been working here for a year, almost every day, you miss your Lidya, but, there's never any real action, how long are you going to be like this? Hah!" said Lukman wisely.

"But our worlds are different, Luk. She's a successful stockbroker in this office, while I ... I'm only doing this much," Ken complained.

"Woy...you don't have to wait to become a director to approach a woman. you just approach her first, invite her to eat, invite her to watch a movie, if you're broke, I can add more. the important thing is, you have to approach her first, instead of just staring from afar like this, when will your relationship with her progress?"

"What if she refuses?"

"The important thing is, you have tried, if she refuses, you try to wait for a while, usually girls who like you, will start to value you from afar, after that, maybe, she will approach you."

"If she doesn't approach me too?"

"Then she's not your soul mate. At that time, you start to withdraw your feelings from her and start transferring your feelings to other women."

"Hmmm... is that so?"

"Yes. But, I think you have a chance to get close to Lidya," Lukman said again.

"Why is that?"

"Your face is handsome, athletic body, six-pack abs, pure white skin, this is a woman's dream, you know. Not like me who is like this balloon. Hmm, it's just that your profession is not on the same level as his."

"I want her to like me for who I am. Hmmm... well, I'll start approaching Lidya," Ken resolved.

"That's right. Already ah. I'm going to work first," Lukman said as he walked away.

After Lukman left, a young man with glasses suddenly approached Ken who was mopping.

The young man with glasses looked at Ken from the side with a sad expression, then he said, "Young Master Ken."

Ken, who was looking down, immediately fell silent at this call. His mop stick didn't move anymore, the call that he hadn't heard in a year made him speechless.
