A few months have gone by, and Cale's worries increase by the day.
Cale: I'm getting beaten up, and they call it training. Ah, the things I do for you, asshole. But seriously, where is he? Batman hasn't found anything, and he could be anywhere by now. Yet I'm just training, waiting for instructions. Maybe I should take it into my own hands. I mean, at least Kenji is being taken care of very well in the mansion.
*Switch to Otto's POV.*
Otto: I really screwed up. (He says while being shot, hiding behind a dumpster.) Ah, where are you, Cale? I gave you so many letters. (Unknowingly, Otto's messages never reached Cale.) Well, fuck, I should make a run for it. I really don't want to eat a bullet today. (Maybe I can make a distraction. *Looks around.*) Oh, a rock. Maybe I can distract them. *Throws the rock.* FLASHBANG. (Otto screams.) The enemy takes cover, thinking it's an actual sound.
Enemy POV: He had a secret fucking card, a flashbang. This is getting irritating. (While hiding.) A few seconds go by, and nothing happens, and they realize they got tricked, so they run, trying to find him but he's long gone.
Otto: Fucking dumbasses, ahahaha, that actually worked. (Hurls over a bit and sighs.) Fuck, that was really close, though. I need Cale or Batman, anybody. Why aren't they coming?
Back to Cale's POV
Cale: Well, training is finally over, I suppose. It's time to go home. And I miss my little baby, Kenji. So, we're definitely finding a good spot to dine today.
(An hour later.) *Cale finds a restaurant, kind of run-down, but it's where he's always been recommended by his old friends and old neighbors.*
Cale: Ah, there it is. Are you excited, Kenji? (Kenji meows excitedly.) *Cale enters the store with Kenji.*
Waitress: Welcome, sir. Please come and take a seat. Let us know when you're ready to order. (Hands the menu.)
Cale: *Opens the menu and takes a look.* Oh, that looks delicious. (Cale is ready to order and rings the bell.)
Waitress: Are you ready to order?
Cale: Yes, ma'am, I'd like this. *Cale points at the menu, some chicken tenders, and I'd also like to have egg and cheese with some sweet potato fries.*
Waitress: Of course, sir. I'll get your order prepared.
Cale: Kenji, are you excited? (Meow, meow, Kenji meows.) *While waiting for his order, Cale overhears some people talking about Otto?* Confused, he thinks they might be talking about another person. He scoots a bit closer to the side of the seats to hear better.
The People in Question: Yeah, so apparently this Otto guy has been sending letters, but nobody has picked them up, so, of course, I took them. (Smirks.) And I found $400 with a note saying, "Please come save me, blah blah."
Cale: Otto sent letters? (He angrily screams as he couldn't contain himself.) I got sent letters, and you took them? No wonder I didn't hear from him. (Cale holds the man by the collar as he screams at him.) Give me all the letters now. Where are they?
Man: (Panicked, says in a scared voice.) I'm sorry. Please let me down. Please, I'll give you the money back.
Cale: I don't want the money. Give me the letters now. (Cale starts lifting the guy out; he doesn't know how strong he's gotten, and with the adrenaline, he's even stronger.)
Man: Okay, okay, just let me down. I'll get you every letter back. (He plops back into his seat.) He plops back into his seat, and everyone is silent, even Kenji, who was a bit taken aback and scared, as people could hear by his meows.
Cale: Okay, now I want you to take me where you have the letters.
