"It's because of this," I said as I opened the black bag.
"How did you get this soul core?" Sophie asked as she stared at it, "and the quality, this must have cost you a fortune."
"Sophie, I think you're forgetting something," Elara said with a frown, "soul cores aren't something you can just buy especially soul cores of this quality. If a noble family was to come across something like this, they would only give it to the person who was most loyal to the family and had a promising future which means you most likely got it from Saniel, right?"
"Yes," I replied her, "I never knew Elara was this intelligent," I said inwardly as I was surprised.
Honestly, I was surprised and impressed that Elara was able to figure out how I got my hands on a soul core without telling her anything beforehand or giving her any hints.
"So did he ask you for anything in return? 'cause I doubt he'll give you something like this for free," Elara commented.
