Abir's phone tinged. A new notification.
"Whatever you wear, just finish off with a good jacket," he saw the message from Bob. Now he needs to rent one because he does not have one.
"I have one extra," Bob texted again.
Xing was offline. Does he know?
Abir entered the Bariston Club. The pop music filled the air. The crowd was moving with the beat.
He scanned the people from left to right. He stopped on seeing Xing and Bob on the sofa.
The music was a bit loud for him to converse.
He approached them and shouted, "hey, Bob! Hello, Xing!" There was an additional man standing sitting next to Xing. "He is my cousin Mark," Xing introduced the guy.
Mark had a moustache that covered his upper lips. It made him look more mature than the three.
Mark stood up and stretched his hand towards Abir for a handshake.
All sat on the sofa, relaxed. Though the club was not owned by any of them, they were dressed like bosses.
Xing had a more mafia vibe. He had a good sense of fashion, had several tattoos on his arms and a piercing on his lip. His good physique suited everything he wore. He could manage to pull off even the cheapest and tackiest robes.
In contrast, Abir struggled with making impressions. He would always ask Xing for help.
The waiter brought them drinks they ordered. Bob started, "Abir, you need to be confident while flirting. The girl will see you as a man then. Do not shy away," as usual showering his advice.
"Approach a chick slowly from the back," Bob closed his eyes as if feeling the words he was spitting out.
"Come closer to her and whisper in her ear 'you look pretty'. Then she will smile shyly. Gradually, grab her waist and feel her body touching yours," Abir listened with parted lips.
Mark and Xing looked at each other with a smirk. They knew which way he was leading Abir to.
Mark stood up, holding a drink and escalated, "so, go on. Try doing that. A girl will definitely fall for you, brother."
Abir pursed his lips. He had never done that before.
Xing saw that Abir was hesitant. He grabbed his arm and took him to the centre of the dance floor. Xing then disappeared in the crowd, leaving him fazed.
Abir found himself confused at the beginning but soon started moving to the tune of the music.
He found himself attracted towards a girl with long black wavy hair. She wore a mini sequined red dress that hugged her curves and made her look way more sexier.
Abir saw that girl from the back. She was dancing alone. Abir did not notice that as strange. His steps progressed towards her, without him realising.
Since no other man was around her, Abir took the chance and slowly slid his hand around her waist from the back. He skipped complimenting the girl in her ear as told by Bob.
The girl was shocked but she didn't make it obvious. She instead pretended to like it. She grabbed the guy's hand and swayed for some time.
She was actually liking it, and grew curious to see him. Slowly, she turned around to face him. His hand was still on her waist. The boy was surely taller than her.
She wore a diamond pendant. Her small face had heightened features. She had black doe eyes, a high nose bridge, and small lips. She looked like a character that came straight out of an anime.
She was beautiful. Very, very beautiful. Her body proportions were out of this world.
Abir fell at once, in love.
"My name is Amy. Yours?" Her composed voice resonated in his ears.
Abir forgot the world at that moment. Is he intoxicated? Why does everything feel so good? He only had one drink. Maybe half more.
"A-Abir," he muttered.
"I think I am seeing you for the first time," she said.
"Yes, me too. But this isn't my first time coming here," Abir replied.
Amy was looking at him, in his eyes. She wanted to dive in. She wanted to get lost in those eyes. Something was attracting her. She knew Abir was a bit shy.
"I like shy boys," she complimented.
Abir glanced at her. He didn't understand why she said so. Oh, because she liked him. Maybe.
Abir was good-looking. He was tall, had a clean shaved face. His brown-black hair was parted at the middle of his forehead, which complimented his facial features. Xing did a good job setting up Abir's hair.
They both were under the influence of the music.
Xing, Bob and Mark were observing Abir from the first floor. They had gone upstairs to play billiards.
"He is a fast learner," Mark smirked.
"Still he says he is shy around girls," Bob added.
After a short while, a girl ran to Bob exclaiming, "darling, you are here?"
She was Ashley. The rich girl Bob boast off. Mark and Xing were stunned. They didn't know Bob had called her.
Bob himself was dumbfounded. She gave him a surprise. At least Bob wasn't flirting at that time.
"Hello, babe. What a surprise!"
"I knew you were going to be here," Ashley shocked her lover with this fact.
"How-"
"This was the place we first met, afterall."
Ashley continued, "you wore the watch I bought? It looks good on you. As always, my choice is the best."
Bob and Ashley were given their space. Xing and Mark went back downstairs to grab more drinks.
Amy had her hands around Abir's neck. Abir had his hands around her waist. Things went smoothly. They could be seen conversing from far.
Abir forgot that he was already in a relationship. And he was technically cheating at this point, being with some other girl.
Amy urged to have some drinks.
Abir pulled the stool out for her. Was he pretending to be well mannered or he really was? Abir's phone rang.
"Wait a minute," he excused himself. He took out his phone, and picked up the call.
Amy saw the name 'Zoya'.
