Along the path that led to the guest house, Michael walked, while holding the black stone pendant. His thumb rubbing the cold, smooth surface of the stone.
Looking at it as though trying to uncover whatever secrets it held within. Unsuccessful, he turned to Rift. "What is it?"
[I am not sure myself, but as we passed by I felt the flicker of a spirit within it, there is a probably a dormant spirit within it ]
Hearing what Rift said, he stared at the stone. It's black surface that seemed polished, Imbedded into an exquisite black metallic frame. It was a well crafted piece, but aside from that he felt nothing from it.
He tried infusing his arcane into it, but nothing happened.
'well I guess I will just have to gather information about dormant spirits, may be I will be able to awaken it.'.
Putting the pendant around his neck, he sped up.
A few minutes walk, and he had reached the guest house. Walking into his room, he shut the door.
Placing the rune link on the table, he infused his Arcane into the box like item. It was just ten centimeters tall and wide. The runes on the box lit up with a bright blue glow. Michael listened to the soft humming sound of the rune link, which oddly calmed his mind.
Taking a while to boot for the first time, the device was now ready, as a blue holographic screen appeared above the box.
Michael's genetic data had been collected when he infused his Arcane into the device, so there was need to for any sign up. All he had to do was connect it to the net, and his information was downloaded.
Every thing was now ready, so Michael began operating it. All that was needed for operation was his mind, he gave the directive with his mind and the rune link did what he wanted.
Pouring in all the information he had concerning the blue crystals, a match finally showed up.
(Collan ore, used to make arcane filters)
This was it. Looking at the price, Michael was shocked. 1 kg sold for 1000 credits, and Michael had well over 2000 kg, this estimated to 2 million credits.
Michael was almost jumping in joy. 'I hit the Jack pot. I won't need to worry about materials for a long while.
[Don't get ahead of yourself]
"Huh? What do you mean?"
[Imagine you a weak low level Luminary realm practitioner, walking in with 2000 kg of collam, expecting 2 million credits. Haha, that might be the funniest joke I've heard, well it's the only one I've heard so far. But my point is they will just beat you up and leave with your goods.]
The fact that he was extremely weak ringed in his head, it would be suicide to sell the collam at his current strength. 'I could try to sell it in bits, but that would take to long, and I would need to clean my trail after each trade, it is to much of a risk and hassle.'
He had come to the conclusion. The only way to sell this was if he was stronger.
"Rift how do we invoke the tribulation?"
[When you are ready, I will attack the seal, this will in turn invoke the tribulation.]
"Then we should head to a place were I can receive the tribulation."
As for the place Michael chose, it was the no-man's-land his father had kept him for two months.
***
"Mr Norman." A lady dressed in a beautiful black knee length gown, holding an advance rune link which looked like a flat board.
"Yes Lily, what is the problem" A man with jet black hair, and Divine masculine features asked the lady. He sat on a swivel chair, a black and gold desk, in front of him.
"Sir we received word from red wings, that Michael had dropped out of the agency, on a case of PTSD." She relayed the news with a calm voice, signaling she was accustomed with this procedure.
"PTSD? What sort of bullshit is that." Knowing his son Michael, there was no way that he experienced PTSD. He could remember vividly how strong willed and pig headed the boy was. For certain, Michael would not even turn in his bed if he took a life. 'PTSD my ass, what are you doing Michael, what are you planning?'
Breaking out if his thoughts, Vincent told the lady. "Find him, and keep watch, give me feedback on constant basis."
"Yes sir" She took her leave.
'Micheal, what are you doing you sly bastard. I am your father yet I only know little of you.'

No-man's-land.
Walking on the desert like planet, not a single life form in sight, there was only one thing that lived here, and they were the underground tunnel worms. Supposedly there were rift monsters, but they were very weak to make impact.
Michael was caught in his memory of his two months here, struggling with what little food ration he was giving, escaping the weakest rift monsters, and finding caves to sleep.
Shaking his head, he cleared his mind. He was now here for a different reason, and that was to get stronger. He would finally step on the path of arcane, and one day surpass all those that deemed him a liability.
He was going to pay back in full. Every cold night, every tear drop, every injury, every near death experience. He was going to pay in full.
After getting to a wide space, he wasted no time and sat cross legged.
"Rift begin."
[Ok, this will be dangerous, as you have no protection.] As soon as he spoke, he attacked the seal.
Immediately the seal was broken, red lightning began surging I'm the void. Chaos lightning was made up of lightning, darkness and void. Specially made for the purpose of punishment.
The lightning surged in the void above the dead planet. Growing I'm size to an unimaginable extent. The air crackled, the tunnel worms dug deeper underground to hide.
"Is it supposed to be that big?" Michael asked, his heart racing, sweet began forming.
[No, it's not. It seems the laws will go to this length to stop you.]
"Fuck me."
