I flinched when I saw his cold glare piercing through the darkness and making my heart thump wildly.
"Drew" I called in a small voice again as I attempted to get up to reach him but my erratic breathing choked me and I fell down again but I need to be near him, to soothe him when I myself was breaking down internally but I felt the need to join him first then think about myself later and that was why I called my way towards him, towards my 8-year-old friend who was standing still at the same place.
His face, his entire body was hidden in the darkness, only his eyes were the clue that he was there in front of me. I know he is here to take me out of this dungeon and back to my room, I know he is joking. I will smile at me any moment, I know he will never leave me, I trust him, I like him!
But the moment I thought I got closer to him, he immediately took a few steps back but not before sending me a steel glare, making my heart shutter as I got rejected.
