Chapter 21 - Chapter Twenty One

"I'm Kazzie. The famous artist. I guess you've heard my music - "Love me", Cassie introduced herself to Lee Jun ho with her hand stretched out.

"I've never heard of you if I may say", Jun ho replied and she was shocked. She was speechless. What the fuck does he mean?

"What do you mean? You've haven't heard of 'Love me'?

  🎶You said you're gonna stay but🎶

   🎶 I'm here alone 🎶

   🎶Love meeee🎶"

She sang but he looked at her in a perplexed manner. "Do you mean?", he questioned and said some lines:

    🎤Bear with meee🎤

     🎤My love isn't complete🎤

She smiled widely when she heard the lines he said. "Yup!", she said elatedly.

"I sang that shit!", she continued. "You love it right?", she asked but was astonished by his answer.

"No, I don't", Jun ho replied.

"Allow me to sing it, Trevor, cause I want to", she said.

"Let's go straight into meeting Kazzie", Jun ho declared and looked at his manager who spoke, "DYK group are not yet here, U.S aren't here yet, Rexie isn't here yet also so we can't start the meeting"

Jun ho scoffed loudly. "Chill bro, they are coming", another artist said.

"DYK does this every time. I hate their fucking group", he replied and they laughed.

"How dare you?!!", Cassie slammed her hands on the table, attracting the attention of all the artists present.

"Girl, you're making a noise", Enzo said and Cassie stood up with a frown. The rest watched as she walked to him. She dragged his long hair and he screamed. Her manager covered his face with his palm and let her be. When his eyes meet with anybody, he would smile sheepishly and look warmly at them. That's how to say he's sorry in his way.

"Yah!! Yah!!! ", the Korean guys called but she refused to answer them.

"¡¡Ey!! ¡¡Ey!! ¿estás loco? ¡¡Perra!!", (Hey!! Hey!! Are you crazy? Bitch!)

Enzo yelled angrily. His head hurts. His scalp is on fire.

"¿Cómo te atreves a llamarme chica?" (How dare you call me a girl?)

"¿Cómo debería llamarte entonces? una abuela?" (What should I call you then? A grandma?)

Cassie dragged his hair more with annoyance. It was the voice of the other members that made her stop what she was doing.

"Yeogiseo museun il-iya? hyeong?" (What's going on here?)

That was the voice of the leader of DYK.

"What took y'all so long? You know, I'm still your senior when it comes to stuff like this", Cassie boasted.

"joesonghapnida eonni" (Sorry elder sister), the leader apologized and continued, "We went to collect the MVA award in Dubai ", he continued and Cassie widened her eyes.

"The most viewers award?", Tessa looked him straight in the eyes and he nodded positively.

"Ah! Trevor! Didn't you go?", the leader, Park Min young, asked but another member replied.

"Too bad. He wasn't nominated"

They laughed but Jun ho said nothing and watched the addressee start the meeting. He wasn't really focused on the meeting but knew his manager was listening attentively. He also knew that Cassie was staring at him - maybe, she had also fallen for him.

"Are you fucking kidding me?!" Kim yelled frustratedly.

"What do you mean by that? How can I kill my boyfriend? Are y'all mad?!" She shouted at the cops that came to arrest her on the road.

She didn't care that people were staring at her. She doesn't care. They have eyes so they should see.

"Ma'am, remain silent or else-"

"Or else what?" Kim shouted and removed her hand from the cop.

"Anything I say now will be used against me in court?" Kim said and they looked at her. It seems like she's right with her statement but that isn't bothering her now.

"I want to see my boyfriend. Where is he?", she asked with her eyes looking everywhere for a glimpse of Luke.

"Please cooperate with us", the first cop said and handcuffed her hands slowly.

Kim was wrought and began thinking. Who could do this to her? Where the hell is Luke at this moment.

Her head was pushed into the car with her handcuffs. A tear fell from her eyes and she sniffed immediately.

"Come to mama Ryan", Anna clapped her hands together and watched Ryan stare at her.

"Don't be shy. Mama will take you to Bongos today", Anna bribed him and his eyes lit up with joy. He ran to her and she caught him in her arms.

"When are we leaving?", he interrogated with excitement in his eyes.

"Mum wanted to take me to Bongos when she's back but you can do that now", he smiled beautifully and Anna stopped smiling.

"What?", he asked with a frown. "You've changed your mind?", he queried and she shook her head. She suddenly hugged him tightly and sniffed while muttering, "I'm so sorry"

Ryan didn't understand what she was doing and was baffled. What is she trying to say?

"Anna was really happy when you won the math contest. What can I do for you?" she asked, gently patting his head.

"Just a giant ice cream, please," Ryan replied with a grin, and Anna agreed.

Anna wiped her tears away and smiled again. "We'll get a huge ice cream for sure!"

They jumped into the car, and Anna drove towards Bongos. Ryan kept talking about his math contest victory all the way. As they got closer to the park, Ryan got more and more excited.

"Anna, can we go on the big slide first?" Ryan begged, eyes shining bright.

"Of course!" Anna said cheerfully, knowing he loved that slide. They rushed to the slide, but just as Ryan was about to slide down, a funny squirrel dashed in front of him, making him stop suddenly. Ryan burst into giggles.

"I like squirrels!!!" Ryan laughed happily.

Anna laughed along, pretending to cheer for the squirrel. They continued playing, climbing, swinging, and even playing tag with the squirrels.

Finally, it was ice cream time! They sat on a bench, enjoying their delicious treats. When Ryan took a big bite, a small amount of ice cream landed on his nose. Anna burst out laughing, and soon they were both laughing so much that people passing by smiled too.

Their hearts were full of joy as they made their way home, remembering their fun day full of unexpected moments and laughter.

"Anna, today was awesome!" Ryan exclaimed, his eyes shining.

Anna messed up his hair, feeling happy about these wonderful moments. "Every day with you is great, Ryan."

Kelvin was deeply engrossed in his game, dealing with monsters and conquering levels, when suddenly, a loud knock was heard on the slightly closed door. Startled, he dropped his controller.

"Kim? What now?" Kelvin grumbled, expecting his sister to be the one disturbing him. He loved the moment but she came to spoil fun moments again. But when he opened the door, he was greeted not by Kim but by a police officer with a stern expression.

"Are you Kelvin?" the officer asked, and Kelvin nodded.

'Why has the cops come to look for me?', he asked himself but couldn't find an answer to the question.

"We need you to come with us. It's about your sister, Kim," the officer stated with a blank expression. "She's been arrested for being a suspect in her boyfriend's disappearance."

Kelvin's world turned upside down. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. His sister, involved in something so serious? Thoughts ran through his mind, questions he couldn't answer.

As they rushed him to the police station, Kelvin started to get worried when he didn't see his sister. He tried calling Kim, but she wasn't answering him. At one point, his phone got seized by the cops. He became more worried with each unanswered call.

At the station, he felt different emotions—anger, confusion, and a strong desire to protect his sister. He pleaded with the officers, trying to understand what was happening, but they couldn't provide much information.

Hours passed by and Kelvin was more worried than ever. He felt helpless when he sat in a place without doing anything. He felt useless to defend his sister because he just doesn't know where she is..

Meanwhile, unknown to Kelvin, Lule had been involved in an accident on his way home earlier. He'd taken shelter in an old man's house nearby, who, being kind-hearted, had let him rest while he recovered from the shock.

Back at the police station, Kelvin's desperation grew. He felt a mix of emotions—fear for Kim, frustration at not being able to help, and a deep longing for everything to return to normal.

Kelvin's mind raced as he thought of impossible things. Is his sister thrown into the cell? Was she flogged? Or perhaps, she has been assaulted? Kelvin saw people coming and going in the room but didn't wait to tell him anything when he looked at them for a little bit of information. The air was thick with tension and unanswered questions, leaving him feeling helpless and anxious.

In the midst of his disturbed state, his thoughts were cut short by the interruption of a fellow officer. It was the officer in charge, Detective Harris, a stout man with a no-nonsense appearance.

"Kelvin, we understand you're concerned, but we need your cooperation to help us put together what happened," Detective Harris explained, his tone a mix of firmness and sympathy.

Kelvin nodded, trying to steady his trembling hands. "I'll do anything to help. But I don't understand. Kim wouldn't—she couldn't be involved in something like this."

Detective Harris leaned forward, offering a bit of reassurance. "We're still investigating, Kelvin. It's a complicated case, and we're looking at all sides and angles. But we found evidence that links your sister to the disappearance."

Kelvin's heart sank. His sister, dangling in such a bad situation, seemed unimaginable. Memories of Kim flooded his mind—her laughter, her kindness, the times she stood up for him when no one else did. None of it sounds meaningful with what the officer is telling him right now. He knows his sister. She can never do that. Why should she want ti kill Luke?

As he pondered, he began to realize some events that took place. Kim was fiercely protective of her boyfriend, and something wasn't right about this scenario. She'd never harm him, let alone vanish without a trace. Kelvin knew he had to find the truth to clear her name.

Just then, a phone call interrupted the cold atmosphere. Detective Harris picked it up, listened for a long while and asked the caller some questions, then turned to Kelvin with a mixture of relief and surprise.

"Kelvin, there's been a development. Your sister's boyfriend was found. He had an accident and was resting somewhere for the meantime. He's alive. I'm sorry for causing any problem"

Kelvin was relieved when he heard the officer. The truth was starting to come alive. He smiled as his phone was returned to him. He tried to call his sister again and this time she picked his call and began crying as soon as he heard her shaky breath.

Zavier stood on the balcony, thinking about his girlfriend, Tessa. He felt really happy about how they were together, how they laughed and supported each other.

Tessa had been feeling really sad lately. Her mom passed away because she was sick from smoking. When Tessa saw Zavier smoking on the balcony, it made her feel really upset. She didn't want to lose someone else she loved because of smoking.

Tears filled Tessa's eyes as she went to Zavier. "Please, Zavier, I can't handle losing someone else I love," she said, her voice shaky.

Zavier saw how upset Tessa was and hugged her tight. "I'm sorry, Tessa. I'll stop smoking," he promised, wiping away her tears.

"I don't want to lose you. I'll do anything to keep you safe," Zavier whispered, holding her close.

Tessa leaned into his hug, feeling comforted. "I love you so much, Zavier. Please, do it for us," she said, emotional.

"I'll quit, Tessa. I promise. I love you more than anything," Zavier vowed, deciding to make a change for Tessa, whom he loved deeply.

They stood together on the balcony, feeling stronger in each other's arms. They were ready to face challenges together, committed to each other and their future.

As they talked more, Zavier shared how much Tessa's mom's death made him realize he needed to quit smoking not just for her but for himself too. He promised to find healthier ways to cope with stress.

Tessa hugged Zavier tighter, feeling relieved and grateful. "I'm here for you, Zavier. We'll support each other," she said, smiling through her tears.

Zavier made sure to smoke less because of Tessa. He started going for walks, playing games, and spending more time with Tessa.

Tessa saw how hard Zavier was trying, and it made her love him even more. Their relationship grew stronger as they faced this challenge together. She will always be there to hand him a lollipop when he feels like smoking.

"I'll always be here for you, Zavier. We're a team", she said.

Their love became even deeper as they faced tough times together. They learned that supporting each other through difficult moments made their relationship stronger.

Mark felt really sad because he was far away from home and couldn't help his kids when they needed him. His oldest son, Austin, took charge and helped his siblings while dealing with his own sadness. Tessa tried to be strong for her little brother, Ryan, but she found it really hard too. And Ryan, the youngest, was feeling lost without his mom.

Mark was willing to go back home with every thought but he couldn't. Just a month and he's out of the foreign country. He just wanted to go back home, hug his kids, and make them feel better. Even though he called and messaged them a lot, it didn't feel like enough.

When Mark talked to Dr. Hernandez, the doctor said that even though he couldn't be there physically, his love and support still meant a lot to his kids. Mark left feeling a bit better, knowing that even from far away, he was doing his best for his family. He kept trying to comfort them until he could finally be back home and start healing together.

Dr. Hernandez saw how sad Mark was and said, "I know this is tough for you."

Mark sighed, "I just feel so bad being far from my kids right now."

The doctor nodded and said, "You're doing your best, even from a distance. They feel your love, you know?"

Mark looked unsure, "But I should be there for them, right?"

Dr. Hernandez explained gently, "Of course, but your calls and messages matter. They show you care."

"I just want to hug them," Mark said sadly.

"That love you have for them matters a lot," the doctor reassured. "You'll be back soon to help them heal."

Mark felt a little relieved after talking to the doctor. He knew he would be home with his family in a few weeks time.

Luke, who had gotten hurt in an accident, was walking along a road. He came across a small, beautiful house that stood among trees. He slowly walked towards the door, his body feeling weak and in bad shape from the accident. After spending some moments on whether to knock or not, he decided to knock.

The door creaked open and an elderly man who had a kind and caring look in his eyes opened the door. His head popped out and he looked as if he was angry. As soon as he saw Luke's state, his expression changed to that of worry.

He noticed Luke's unkempt appearance and seemed concerned. "Goodness, you look like you've had a tough time," the old man said sympathetically. "Come in, let's have a look at you," he invited, guiding Luke gently inside.

Sitting at a not-so-steady table, Luke watched as the old man moved around to get his first aid kit. He opened the cap of the methylated spirit and dipped a cotton wool in to clean his wounds and bruises.

He prepared a simple yet inviting meal of soup, and the sweet aroma filled the room. Luke's stomach grumbled with hunger, and he gratefully accepted the warm bowl of soup.

The old man, who didn't look that old to Luke, sat across from him on a sofa, making sure he was comfortable. He gave Luke a new set of clothes and left the room for him to wear the clothes. When he came back to check on him to see if it was his size, he didn't meet what he was expecting because Luke was still shirtless.

"I…I'm hurt so I can't lift my arm", Luke said and the man helped him with the clothes.

He then laid on the bed to get a good rest and decided to observe the room and the man. The man invaded the thoughts by asking a question, "What is your name, son?"

"You do look like my sons", the man added.

Luke, curious about the old man's family, decides to make a conversation. "What's your son's name?" he inquired.

The old man took a moment, considering Luke's question carefully. "Are you talking about Ray or Williams?" he responded. Luke didn't reply to him but asked him a question instead.

"Do you have a daughter named Cassie?" he asked, hoping for more clues. 'It can't be', he thought.

The old man nodded thoughtfully. "Yes, I do. Why do you ask?" he inquired. He was taken aback by the questions Luke was asking him.

Luke liked where his question was going but he hopes that this time, curiosity won't kill him.

"You see," he began, "I think... Zavier. Is he... your son? Do you have a son named Z-zavier?" he asked tentatively.

The old man's eyes widened in surprise at the unexpected question. "Yes, Zavier is my son," he confirmed carefully.

'Why is this boy interested in my family?', he asked himself.

Luke's heart raced as he processed this information. "But they said you were... gone. Rumored to have been... killed by enemies," Luke stammered and picked his words one after the other.

The old man chuckled softly, almost as if he had heard such stories before. "People like to spread tales, don't they? But here I am, alive and well. What's your name?" he asked, trying to change the conversation.

"Luke", he replied and the old man spoke sternly.

"When you get out of here, don't say that word about this to anybody. I'm dead. My burial took place few months ago. I'm dead and gone. Forgotten! Boy, if this information about me being alive goes out, you'll regret coming to my house for shelter", the man said coldly, making Luke swallow hard.
