Yana woke up that morning with a mix of excitement and nervousness. It was her first day at her new school, and she didn't want to make a bad impression by being late. She quickly got dressed, grabbed her bag, and rushed out the door.
As she hurriedly made her way through the crowded hallways, Yana couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the unfamiliar faces and surroundings. She tried to follow the signs leading to her classroom, but in her haste, she took a wrong turn. Panic started to set in as she realized she was running out of time.
Turning a corner, Yana's foot caught on the edge of a loose tile, causing her to stumble forward. She flailed her arms, desperately trying to regain her balance, but it was too late. She fell to the ground with a thud, her books scattering across the floor.
Feeling embarrassed and flustered, Yana tried to gather her belongings as quickly as possible. Just as she was about to pick up her last book, a hand reached down and offered to help. Startled, she looked up to see a young man with kind eyes and a warm smile.
"Need a hand?" he asked, his voice gentle and reassuring.
Yana nodded, grateful for the unexpected assistance. "Thank you," she replied, her voice slightly shaky.
He had a friendly demeanor and seemed genuinely concerned about her well-being. Yana couldn't help but be captivated by his kindness and felt a sense of comfort in his presence.
As they walked together towards their respective classrooms, Yana couldn't shake off the image of man's face. There was something about him that intrigued her, an unexplainable connection she couldn't ignore. She wondered if they would cross paths again.
Days turned into weeks, and Yana settled into her new school routine. She made friends, attended classes, and participated in various activities. Yet, despite the busyness of her days, she couldn't stop thinking about guy. His face lingered in her mind, his act of kindness etched in her memory.
One afternoon, while walking through the school courtyard, Yana spotted a familiar face in the distance. It was the same guy. This time, she was determined to express her gratitude properly and also a part of her want to know who he is. She quickened her pace, hoping to catch up with him before he disappeared into the crowd.
"U-uh! Hi!" Yana called out, breathless from her hurried walk.
The turned around, a surprised expression on his face. "Oh, hey! What's up?"
Yana smiled, relieved that she had managed to catch him. "I just wanted to say thank you again for helping me on my first day. It meant a lot to me."
The man's eyes lit up, and a warm smile spread across his face. "You're welcome, Yana. I'm glad I could be of help. It's nice to see you again."
Yana was surprised when the guy mentioned her name, so she asked him, "How did you know my name?"
He looked like he was nervous or something. "Uh, nothing. You're a transfer student, right? I've heard a lot about you, that's why I know your name."
