Chapter 50 - The Unseen Forces

Azuma, his strength and determination having carried him through the formidable clash with Julius, finally overcame his opponent. Julius lay unconscious, his formidable might temporarily subdued by Azuma's sheer determination. But Azuma's immediate concern was for Zara, who had been caught in the crossfire. He swiftly reached her side, his anxiety evident as he tenderly cradled her body. Azuma's well-honed healing techniques came into play as he channeled his energy into mending her wounds. His magic worked to expedite her recovery, focusing primarily on her body and brain to hasten her awakening. With his healing efforts in motion, Azuma created a door-portal, a rift in space that would teleport them to the academy's training grounds. Azuma gently passed Zara's unconscious form through the portal and emerged on the other side, where teachers and medics awaited. One of the medic teachers quickly took charge, assessing Zara's condition. With Azuma's healing having provided a head start, they began the process of ensuring her complete recovery. Their expertise was invaluable in addressing the physical and mental strain she had endured during the chaotic battle. With Zara in capable hands, Azuma took it upon himself to relay the dire situation to the other teachers and students. The academy's safety was hanging in the balance, and the threat posed by the massive portal loomed large. He explained the vicious attack on the academy, the colossal portal that now overshadowed it, the intense duel he had engaged in with Julius, and the urgency of the situation. The students and teachers gathered, fear and determination in their eyes as they contemplated the peril they faced. Meanwhile, in an underground laboratory teeming with advanced technology, individuals worked diligently at their computer terminals. A colossal screen displayed a map of Japan with a distinctive marker indicating the portal located in Tokyo. The chaotic energy emanating from this interdimensional breach was staggering, dwarfing any prior observations. The individual standing before the colossal screen issued a resolute command, urging those present to take immediate action. Nanotech Storage Pods, teardrop-shaped vehicles adorned with iridescent exteriors, were swiftly dispatched to Tokyo. These vehicles possessed a range of advanced features, including anti-gravity technology, flexible nanotech legs, and an array of sensory equipment. Each pod was meticulously designed to handle the chaotic energy with finesse, ensuring the containment of this potentially catastrophic force. Upon reaching Tokyo, the nanotech storage pods hovered in close proximity to the portal. Retractable energy-absorbing spikes extended from the pods and began absorbing the chaotic energy that spewed forth. Their operation was efficient, and they worked seamlessly to extract the overwhelming energy from the portal. The energy collected was transmitted to the enigmatic "Eternitron Cube." This cube, an enigmatic and seamless obsidian-black structure, possessed geometric perfection and an enigmatic aura. It appeared otherworldly, with no visible openings, and its ability to seemingly absorb light rather than reflect it added to its mysterious presence. Within the cube resided a pocket dimension, a swirling vortex of colors and energies that defied conventional physics. This pocket dimension allowed the cube to store an infinite amount of chaotic energy, and the name "Eternitron" was a testament to its boundless capacity. As the spikes of the nanotech storage pods funneled the chaotic energy into the cube, a series of mechanisms and processes ensured its secure containment. The technology at play was cutting-edge and intricate, embodying the collaborative efforts of brilliant minds. Back in the academy, Azuma was both fascinated and troubled by the floating vehicles in the sky, extracting chaotic energy from the massive portal. But before he could further investigate or intervene, the facility abruptly ceased its absorption and swiftly retracted, retreating to an unknown destination. Azuma's intrigue led him to ascend into the open skies to confront the portal directly. He hovered before it, pondering his next move. However, his thoughts drifted to Julius, who he had knocked unconscious during their fierce battle. Realizing that he couldn't leave Julius behind, he focused his right eye, which had turned completely white. He reached into the chaos, searching for Julius's presence. To his astonishment, Julius's appeared in front of Azuma and punched him inside the portal, Azuma quickly reacted and grabbed Julius's arm and dragged Julius with him. As Julius entered the chaotic realm, he immediately searched for Azuma, but he wasn't anywhere to be seen. He kept looking around but all he thought of, is that he was submerged in an otherworldly landscape, one that transcended the boundaries of conventional reality. The first striking aspect was the absolute lack of light; instead of traditional illumination, the void around him extended as far as the eye could see. In this surreal space, islands of varying sizes floated, presenting an intriguing paradox. Their rocky terrain, formed from marbled grey stone, starkly contrasted with the ethereal trees that adorned them. The trunks of these peculiar trees were of pure white wood, and their leaves exuded a delicate shade of grey, swaying serenely as they defied the usual laws of nature. Above, the sky was an enigmatic blend of black and white, a captivating and perplexing juxtaposition. It was a perpetual dance between opposing forces, and the boundary between them was almost hypnotic. In the distance, Julius's gaze fell upon a colossal castle, a monument to the mystical and unpredictable nature of the Chaos World. The black and white fortress, hewn from the essence of the chaotic realm itself, displayed towering spires and intricate battlements, each shrouded in an enigmatic aura. As Julius explored his newfound surroundings, he experienced a profound sensation deep within himself. It was as if he had unlocked an uncharted realm of potential. Intrigued, he sat down, closed his eyes and concentrated, allowing his instincts to guide him further. He started to see a glow, he then opened his eyes.. To his surprise, he saw an apparition of himself. An exact duplicate, wielding a blade and launching an attack. Julius barely managed to deflect the incoming strike, recognizing it as his own Shin'en no Hakka slash. The environment around them seemed to shift, and both Julius and his copy found themselves in a limitless space of profound darkness. This stark transition only intensified the high-stakes confrontation that was about to unfold. Julius wasted no time, infusing his blade with the power of Meigetsu Tensho, and activated the Kuroya Jin, a weapon with the ability to create small black holes that could pull in objects or serve as shields. He encircled his copy with five of these black holes. However, his copy had a surprise in store. It chanted an incantation. "Open, Zone. Kuroshin Sekai." A big black sphere formed, trapping Julius and his clone inside. Julius was instantly immobilized for 0.5 seconds, enough time for his copy to launch forward and strike at Julius's neck. "0.4". "0.3". "0.2". "0.1". "0". Just when the fatal strike was about to decapitate Julius, Julius could finally move and he detonated a black hole inside the Kuroshin Sekai sphere, propelling himself backward and barely escaping the deadly blow. He was exactly 1.5x weaker and horrified, but alive. It was as if this sphere made his opponent stronger and himself weaker. It was an experience that rekindled his determination to surpass his limitations and conquer the challenges that lay before him. As Julius rose to his feet once more, anger coursed through him, and he activated his Rokko Shisen, which the clone couldn't use since it's not a power he owns, ready to face his clone and emerge from this hell stronger than before. From all the anger and frustration. Julius, Ace Kurotsuchi. Have awakened once more. Stronger than ever. The chaotic realm enveloped Julius, setting the stage for a surreal and deadly confrontation with his doppelgänger. It was a battle that would test his mettle, cunning, and newly acquired insights. Julius wasted no time as he launched ten black holes toward his clone, each resonating with destructive energy. The maelstrom of chaos unfolded as they collided with the copy, their explosions echoing through the sphere. The copy's arm was torn asunder, a testament to the destructive force of the black holes. Yet, to Julius's surprise, the copy regenerated, a manifestation of the realm's inherent resilience. A cruel smile crossed its lips as it demonstrated its regenerative abilities, preparing for a battle of wits and might. The copy retaliated by casting a Kuhaku Goku, a powerful and concentrated force of chaotic energy, directed towards Julius. Acting swiftly, Julius held his sword aloft, ready to absorb the incoming attack. The blade fulfilled its purpose, absorbing the chaotic energy and rendering it powerless. He learnt this from studying Akira's powers secretly. Their conflict intensified as Julius launched himself towards his counterpart, swords clashing with a resounding impact. However, the copy's proficiency was evident. It conjured a Meigetsu Tensho at full capacity. The blast engulfed the vicinity, and Julius was forced to step back amidst the chaos, it was too late thought, the blast has sent Julius flying to the ground. As the dust settled, Julius seized the opportunity, channeling his newfound strength into a Shin'en no Hakka slash. This attack was born from his awakening and was fiercer than any prior. The copy, disoriented, couldn't perceive the incoming threat. The slash cleaved through the clone's head, rendering it lifeless. Yet, Julius's moment of triumph was short-lived. In a surprising twist, the clone regenerated and hurled its sword with precision, impaling Julius in the chest. Blood spewed from his lips as he gasped for breath. It was a moment of vulnerability and agony that threatened to consume him. Julius, resilient and unwavering, managed to extract the blade from his chest. He taunted the clone with a phrase of gratitude before, "Thanks for the swor-" before Julius could finish his sentence. The clone, in its relentless assault, severed Julius's hand. With astounding speed, Julius regenerated his missing limb and declared "You've got me there buddy, but it's over for you. I've already won." Since the momment his clone made the black sphere. Julius, his focus shifted from relentless attacks to harnessing the power of his Kuhaku Goku. He pointed his finger towards the clone's chest, charged the attack, and unleashed it. The energy projectile pierced through the clone's chest, disrupting the chaotic nucleus that sustained it. The black sphere shattered, setting Julius free from his confined state. He awakened once more within the chaotic realm, his body regenerated and fully restored. Stretching and surveying the enigmatic environment, Julius contemplated the whereabouts of Azuma, the next step in their journey through this peculiar realm. "That was tough," Julius grumbled, rubbing his shoulder. "Anyways, where is that punk Azuma?"
