Seth stood silently, looking at an enormous picture covering the main stairwell. The previous owner of the Aurora mansion painted it—an epic battle with mounted knights holding swords while charging down what seemed to be demons.
"Seth, what are you doing?"
His shoulders moved slightly, but he seemed enraptured by the macabre painting's minor details. He could see many skeletons, corpses and a river of blood hidden in the mud below the demons. In the background, Seth saw a priest praying while impaled through the chest.
"This picture is a little depressing. I thought a painting with all you lovely women would be better."
Samantha didn't act shy like in the past after two months, although she didn't know Seth perfectly. His humour and moods were clear to her.
It was because she knew him better. She started stalking him or knowing when he wanted to say something privately.
"I see. The strange thing from earlier... It was your doing, right?"
