Klaus became my mentor my pillar of strength and my respective Master . Whenever I became weak he would encourage me by reminding the dark night I lost my aunt , my sister was taken away from me , the fire which surrounded the entire village . It gave me the strength to push harder in my practices . During the past years I trained harder how to be a vampires hunter , how to use daggers , archery , how to fight, how to fight with swords . All this my Master Klaus trained me there was a time I wanted to give up my life . I wanted to jump at the edge of the cliff when he stopped me.
Klaus: you are being a coward ...
Me: I don't care ....what's the reason for me to live anywhere those monsters will just come down again to kill me
Klaus: are you forgetting the promise you made to your sister ...to fight harder to survive and you are just willing to give up your life without a fight??? ( he asked with firm tone)
Me: is my survival worth it ...will it bring back my sister??? ( she asked with tears weakly)
Klaus: it is ?? I just discovered your sister is alive,,,she is one of the blood mates to the vampires King, ( he said trying to calm her down , )
I got on my knees, tears of joy streaming down my cheeks . My sister was alive ! That was the time Klaus told me more about the monsters in black cloaks , When he took me back to our tiny hut by the jungle . We both sat down staring at each other
Klaus: These vampires come down on earth after every ten years to recruit more blood mates , they prefer virgin young girls , they expect a lot from us humans ....they capture us to be their slaves especially in the middle of the night . They live underworld. The humans who are taken to the underworld are shackled in a dungeon and fed just enough to keep them alive as long as they can to supply blood. They prefers blood of young girls which is considered tasty like a Bottle of wine and it increase their life span of survival . They kill those who are defiant , no one is allowed to look into their eyes . They survived on blood ,they burned easily when exposed to sunlight that's why they capture humans from the mortal world when it's dark ,they didn't age beyond a certain point. They were are stronger, faster, and more durable than an ordinary human.They could become invisible, hiding in the shadows.They can communicate telepathically with each other and non-vampires to a limited extent.
He took a deep breath looking at me ,
Me: how do you know so much about vampires
He just remained quite , he went out and return with an old book , it was dusty , He handed it to me it had lot of information about vampires .
Klaus: you will need this information with you in the future,
I took the book and started reading ... I learnt vampire didn't have an aversion to garlic, crucifixes, holy water, or wooden stakes. They also didn't turn into bats or look like some sort of goblin creature. Most looked perfectly normal when walking down a street. They could even retract their fangs.

The biggest part of that cost was the need to drink blood. It was out of malice and bloodlust sometimes not , either. A vampire's biology had to operate at such a high level to achieve its many benefits. As a result, blood was necessary. They could eat traditional food, but that only gave them a fraction of the nutrients they needed. Blood was necessary. Without it, they died of malnutrition.
I learnt that they can only be killed using silver daggers or poisonous arrows which dried their internal organs . What kind of poison was that ?? When I questioned my Master about he said he had no answer to that.
We gathered many silver daggers and continued with our training . It was now my life ambition to revenge one day and kill the man who left a mark on my neck. I discovered I had some powers inside me for example is would read the minds of people, manipulate water and plants . I hid it from Klaus . I secretly learnt to control my powers . I noticed Master Klaus started distancing himself from me unlike the days I was younger . I used to be the one who gathered wild fruits and hunted animals that was our deal for me to stay with him , in instance he changed and stopped me from doing all the hard works .
On nineteenth birthday my Master asked me if I wanted a birthday gift
Me: yes
Klaus: then say it,,
Me: I want to go back to my village now I'm stronger no man can touch a single strand of my hair I've become invulnerable ( she said her powder blue eyes twinkling , Klaus smiled)
Klaus: fine miss but promise me you will cover your face with a veil , no one should see the mark on your neck they will try to kill you ..
I quickly nod and took a veil and covered my face , he turned ashen looking at me . He froze that was the first time I looked straight into his eyes . To my surprise he never aged he was still looking the same from the first day we met . I was the one who had grown up . I looked at how handsome my master ...my throat turned dry as I cursed myself for having such shameless thoughts about my master the painful part I couldn't read his mind . He suddenly took a step towards me I felt like I was going to swoop seeing how closer we were . I quickly turned away pretending to act as if I've forgotten something in the kitchen . I returned later after calming myself down. I found him carrying a bag .
