Chapter 9 - Wait for me

Leaving, Ah Reum walks slowly and turns to look at Jin Young, but he is not alone.

Hyun Ah is next to him, and the laughter and glances shared between them during filming revealed a deep closeness.

Ah Reum watches them for a moment, and the strange words spoken by So Hee earlier come back to his mind. "They seem to have been made for each other". Ah Reum smiles with a touch of sadness in her eyes.

"They really do look good together! What should I expect?" She murmured softly to herself and walked on, not realizing that her heart had been left behind.

As she progressed along her route, new and even disturbing thoughts began to emerge in her mind, a slight hint of curiosity mixing with the thoughts that kept flooding in.

"Hmmm, a lasting friendship, maybe more? Were they each other's first love?" She sighed in amazement as her eyes widened at the thought of this possibility.

"Could it be...Lady Byeol right? It doesn't matter, it doesn't matter! I'm not going to think about these things!

Whatever it is, I know how I feel, and if he... if he doesn't feel the same..." She starts to laugh nervously, realizing that Jin Young has undoubtedly made a big impact on her heart.

"Well, if he doesn't feel the same way, I'd still love those eyes, I'd still... wait for him to show up on my doorstep, I'd still be his number one fan hihi." Ah Reum uttered with an overwhelming sense of tenderness.

She continues: "But... it would probably hurt a bit..." She admits quietly, her heart feeling a bit constricted.

After the reflections she had, Ah Reum finally arrived at her destination. Her mission: to collect the graduation outfit that had been meticulously prepared for the occasion.

The shade of deep blue was vaguely reminiscent of police uniforms, adding extra charm to the already elegant flight attendant uniform.

"Wow, it looks amazing! I can't wait for graduation day!" Ah Reum exclaimed as she gazed at herself in the mirror.

"Would you like any adjustments?" the tailor inquired.

"Thanks, no need for adjustments! I feel like I'm going to take off as soon as I step out of here hihi."

Upon receiving her costume, Ah Reum decided to take a well-deserved break to enjoy the mesmerizing light show of the rainbow fountain on Banpo Bridge and the serene river below, before heading home.

She couldn't help but feel very happy, graduation day was finally approaching.

It had been a long journey and, although she knew there would be more challenges ahead in the pursuit of her dreams, this moment held a special place in her heart.

"Wow, thank you, God! Thank you!" Her heart shout out.

Her heart was immersed in a great whirlwind of feelings. Her beautiful dream was about to come true, and love, love had come to her. It was like flying on the wind of happiness, an indescribable sensation.

Amidst the soothing melody of good music, Ah Reum and several others watched the colorful light show intently.

"It's so enchanting! It would be wonderful if he were here too..." She smiled hopefully. "Ah, I can't help but keep thinking about him lol."

Ah Reum lay down and began to contemplate another spectacle, the stars. "Who knows, perhaps in a more secluded place, just me, him, and the stars..." She chuckled shyly, her cheeks flushed. "Yeah... who knows..."

Serenely, she rests watching the sky. "That's good! The sky is clear and the stars are shining for me. I'll stay here for a little while."

At approximately 10 p.m., Ah Reum returned home to an unexpected surprise. Next to the graceful Kojo no Mai cherry tree, Jin Young was on the front steps, admiring the flowers that marked the end of spring, while anxiously awaiting his arrival.

"Oh," they exchanged glances, giving in to an instant of laughter. Then Ah Reum approached and sat down next to him.

"You're here again," Ah Reum greeted him with a warm smile. "Aren't you tired? You've worked so hard today!

Ah, you were amazing! The best, lol," she joked in an amused voice.

"The best, lol?" Jin Young mimicked her with good humor.

"Yes, the best!" said Ah Reum, her smile radiating sweetness.

"I had to talk to you today!" Jin Young said seriously, changing the tone of the conversation.

Ah Reum stared at him. The phrase "I had to talk to you today" made his heart race.

Before she could formulate a response, he continued with another sentence. A sentence that madly impacted her heart, driving her to ecstasy.

"I'm going away tomorrow, but when I get back, have a date with me!" Jin Young exclaimed, raising his hopeful eyes to her.

It was so fast that Ah Reum was caught off guard, he was practically declaring himself.

Caught in a moment of ecstasy, Ah Reum simply couldn't make eye contact, her heart was about to explode.

"This feeling... it's much stronger than I imagined," she thought. "I can't control my heart." She touched her chest, where her heart was racing.

Tenderly, he continued: "Don't say anything today, just... wait for me. There are many things I want to share with you when I get back, and I want to hear everything you have to say. Just... wait for me, okay?"

He stood up, casting a smile in her direction, while trying to disguise the nervousness that was taking over him. "I'll be right there."

She stood up. "Wait..." He came back quickly, looked her in the eye, gave her a warm smile and planted a kiss on her cheek before running off.

"That was close, lol." He laughed, bursting with emotion as he ran.

Standing in the middle of the street, holding his face, Ah Reum tried to process everything that had just happened.

Suddenly, she burst into her house, unable to contain her excitement, let alone her heart. She fell onto the bed, laughing uncontrollably, and then started talking to herself.

"So, does he really like me?" She gently touched her cheek, smiling and then getting serious.

"Does he like me? What was that kiss about?" She smiled uncontrollably.

"What a pity it wasn't on the mouth," she thought, startled. "Oh, you wanted it to be on the mouth, LMAO! I knew it; you were about to kiss him."

"I... I'll wait for him!" She put her hand over her heart, laughing, overwhelmed by love, happiness and boundless hope.
