CHAPTER 20 MOONLIGHT GALA.
The city of Lunar City was alive with preparations and playful antics, ready to welcome the magical night that was just a few moons away. The Moonlight Gala promised to be a night of wonder, where friendships would bloom, and enchantment would fill the air.The night of the Moonlight Gala had finally arrived, and Lunar City was adorned in a mesmerizing display of lanterns and decorations. The grand event was hosted in the heart of the city, within a sprawling, elegant hall.
As the clock struck 8:00 PM, the guests began to arrive in their finest attire, each more breathtaking than the last. Alaric and Aria, arm in arm, stepped into the hall, their hearts fluttering with excitement.
Aria marveled at the grandeur of the hall. "It's truly enchanting, Alaric. The decorations are stunning!"
Alaric smiled, his eyes fixed on her. "You're the most enchanting sight tonight, Aria."Someone is getting bolder she teased.how can I not when a beauty such as you is in my arms he said triumphantly.i bet my date is the fairest of them all in the ball.please lower your voice she said while laughing gracefully, your making others jealous.
They joined the lively conversations, laughter and joy echoing through the hall. The night was filled with delightful presentations,
Magnus whose work magnus flame was lighting the ballroom with a soothing light was boasting about his accomplishment to the older noble women who were crowding him,this was a task he had to do if he wanted sponsors for his next experiment as an inventor every experiment cost a lot as someone has to pay for it who better that old widows with so much wealth they don't know what to do with it .
A band that had grown popular in the city as of recent the blue beetles were about to present their latest song.The drum beats sounded,the trumpets blowing loudly filling the hall,the guitars string ringing loud then the lead singer himself Michael blue took the stage

the dance floor came alive with a captivating waltz, performed by skilled dancers. The grace and elegance of their movements enchanted the audience.loud clappings and cheerings came from the audience some threw flower,some threw *coughs* things better left unsaid*clears throat*.where were we
Alaric extended his hand to Aria, inviting her to join the dance. "Shall we, Aria? Let's make some magic of our own."oh my" she said,such bravado.of course my knight in shining armor.
Aria, thrilled, placed her hand in his, and they glided across the dance floor with his arms around her slender waist and hers around his neck. If this moment was ever captured on picture it will be one for the ages. Unfortunately a lot of knowledge was lost in the cataclysm.back to the present

Alaric in the spur of the moment starts to sing along whole demonstrating and pointing at aria which caused her to blush deeply

After the wonderful presentation by the blue beetles the audience cheered for them with all their might.
Mr lu sitting on a balcony on the inside of the hall watching the whole proceeding.stood up and said to his wife now that is a brave young man , just like me in my younger days.while pointing at Alaric who just finished his own performance for aria with his terrible frog voice having no shame at all. Mrs lu completely ignores him and tells their children who were sitting beside them to not be stupid and impulsive like their father.To which the children answered yes mommy Mr lu has never felt more betrayed.he called over a waiter and asked him to bring wine for him and call over the sommelier who is in charge of this occasion.
Old lark comes over to deliver the wine to Mr lu but when he gets close enough to Mr lu to have a good look at his face he begins to have an ominous feeling.he recognizes the fat man before him.a former recruit who couldn't pass the training and ended up as the cook for his whole battalion during the great war.Fatty he blurted out. Mr lu unconsciously replies "aye sir Fatty Lu reporting for duty as he used to in the army".his wife burst into laughter.this is the funniest thing I have seen all my day she says.i suddenly find you more pleasing to the eye Mr lark and who is that behind you .Hendrix who was shyly hiding behind old larks leg pops out his head and says the name is Hendrix, mam ,one day I am gonna grow up and ride massive iron beast in the skies.she laughs softly and exclaims oh my,if you say so son. I believe in you, she says.
She turns to her son little Lu who is 3 years old and say's you spend too much time in the kitchen like your father.go out and make some friends and stop following me you are no longer a baby and take your little sister Si with you. Hendrix, why don't you take your new friends and play downstairs, old lark says. okay grandpa.this way comrade's from now on I am your commander he says as he leads them down the stairs.
So Mr lark she says to whom truly do I owe this pleasure.old lark sighs then replies brigadier general Lark of the resistance southern divisions.mrs Lu gets up and bow politely.it is a honor to host your eminence in our humble abode please come sit on the table with us.Mr lu finally wakes up from his shock and quickly evacuates The high chair then quickly motion to his personal guards to cover the curtains.
Amidst the vivacious atmosphere, Alaric and Aria found themselves lost in the music, their laughter ringing in harmony with the festivities.
Alaric leaned in closer, his voice soft with warmth. "You're an amazing dancer, Aria. This night is made all the more magical with you by my side."Is it you talking or the wine talking?" she asked back while laughing softly. Alaric said I swear upon the hair of my chinny chin chin. it comes from my heart though I may have taken a glass too many he says while laughing.
Aria blushed, her heart racing. "Thank you, Alaric. It's a night I'll always cherish."You know you do the stupidest things she said.but I find you cute.
As the clock neared 11:00 PM, the tempo shifted once more, and the orchestra began to play a dreamy, romantic melody—a perfect ending to a magical night.
Alaric and Aria found themselves in a tender embrace, swaying to the gentle music. The world seemed to fade, leaving only the two of them.
