"So, this is what you've been doing the last few weeks."
Walking beside Leonardo was Clark dressed in a baggy suit, slightly slouched over and wearing his big square glasses. His hair seemed styled while he presented a slightly clumsy appearance. He accidentally bumped into others or almost tripped over nothing.
"Bringing it a bit strong are you?" Leonardo asked as he shifted Clark a glance after his latest near fall.
"It can't be helped. Jimmy and Lana are becoming really suspicious of me lately. So I recalled your suggestion and began creating a disguise." Clark replied. "It wasn't my first choice by far, but as I become more active in saving others and using my powers for good. Well, one thing led to another and here I am."
"The way you describe that last part sounded like what a parent will say how their kids came to be in a vague way." Leonardo laughed. "Yeah, I went out drinking then next thing I knew, this bundle with my eyes came months later."
"Haha,." Clark rolled his eyes.
"Still, now that you got this disguise, let's talk about your other one. Why are you running around in jeans, t-shirt and jacket? Even if the photo of you was very blurry and nothing could be made out. I still know what you like to wear and how those colors came to be." Leonardo gave Clark a once over.
"I'm working on it." Clark coughed.
"You just don't like the few ideas I gave you." Leonardo grumbled.
"They were…unique."
While Leonardo did give Clark a few ideas, many of which were among the colors Clark likes to wear. He only gave a few versions of Superman outfits that one thinks of upon hearing the name, while mostly giving vastly different or unique ones.
"I hope you didn't pick the bondage one. That was an accident when I sent it to you, since it was meant for Aurora who asked for some ideas for her Studio." Leonardo coughed lightly.
"No! However, Lois happened to see it and do you know how much I got teased for it by her?" Clark grumbled lightly. "Even Kara gave me strange looks upon learning about it from Lois. Do you have any idea what she said to me?"
"Not really." Leonardo shrugged.
"She said it was a good thing you existed to continue the family tree." Clark said. "At least Lois is cuter when she teases me."
Leonardo just laughed upon hearing that Kara's sense of humor was clearly on his level. It was terrible since as Clark pointed out, their jokes are bad. However, he just hummed a moment before he paused for a moment.
"Why is it my job? As far as I know, both Kara and Raya have working reproduction organs." Leonardo replied.
"Yes," Clark nodded. "However, do you see either having children? Better yet, finding a spouse?"
Leonardo nodded at that point since the pair were clearly not. Truth be told, it is why he was so surprised about that topless photo a while back. Unlike Aurora who was more free spirited and bold, Raya and Kara were more conservative. While not Nun-like, they weren't open minded either.
"Point taken." Leonardo accepted that answer.
While the pair continued to walk the streets of Metropolis, they soon arrived at the Daily Planet. Where it seems that Chloe and Lois were busy at work. For why Lois was here, Leonardo learned that Lois was given the job due to her diligent work and her articles in a different newspaper. So she was poached from there after the Editor discovered it and placed across from Chloe to form a workplace rivalry.
Leonardo didn't really care much about the details, however he found that this attempt for a rivalry between the two only semi-worked. While both did turn out a few articles, Lois appeared to put more work into discovering her stories. Since Chloe didn't really turn out anything more eye-catching or really worth reporting for the Daily Planet.
"So when are you applying to work here?" Leonardo asked.
"Hopefully soon." Clark replied. "I have an interview in a few days."
"Perfect, you're here, Leo."
Suddenly Lois, who was talking on the phone, suddenly threw her phone on the desk and turned to look at the duo. Which was a bit surprising since the reason they were here was because Chloe invited them to lunch and needed to talk.
"What can I help you with?" Leonardo asked.
"One of my contacts said there was something big going down off the coast. Apparently a wreckage was discovered and it isn't anything like most scenes before." Lois said excitedly. "Also get this, the cameras they sent down captured a tall figure walking across the bottom of the ocean."
'Was it an Atlantean?' Leonardo wondered.
"How am I supposed to help with something like that?" Leonardo replied to Lois.
"Well, I'm sure you can check the database or use a favor or contact." Lois asked but more like ordered.
It was hard to tell Lois at times, but either way he had to refuse. First of all, the database doesn't work like that nor is holding the information she wants. Another reason is he lacks quite a bit of contacts needed for what she currently wants.
"Sorry, I don't have contacts needed for your request. So I can't really help you anymore." Leonardo replied.
"Fine, I guess I will have to make a long drive. Comelong Smallville, I need a co-pilot." Lois marched out taking Clark with her.
Leonardo shot Chloe a glance who just shrugged. Shaking his head, Leonardo soon left since Chloe decided to postpone the lunch since she mainly wanted Clark's help and Leonardo was just an extra. Since somewhere in the last week, Chloe got back together with Jimmy which was almost like a whirlwind for him. For he wasn't informed the two broke up since there wasn't exactly Kara and the events that led to it like in the show. Well from what he was informed about the very least.
Hence, why he was invited for lunch was to play the extra so Jimmy wouldn't think of it as a date or others misunderstanding. Which made him feel a bit sad on the inside after flying all the way from Gotham just to play stand in. Granted Clark probably didn't know the real reason why she asked him to invite him along, so Leonardo didn't blame Clark for this wasted trip.

Later that night, Clark called him to inform him about Lois' latest story. It had turned out that the object in the ocean was someone attempting a homemade submarine. The reason it looked like something no one had seen before was because the water pressure warped it so badly and funnily it didn't look like other warped objects made by water pressure.
As for the figure that walked across the ocean bottom. Well, it turned out to be some seaweed in the camera that swayed just right and looked like a person walking. Hence when that was revealed, not only was Lois beyond annoyed, but so were most of the workers scavenging the thing.
The only brightside for the workers was the paycheck they were getting. While Clark had to attempt to calm Lois down. Since not only was this story not very interesting to her, but after sitting in the car for nearly five hours. She wasn't in the best of moods.
"Dancer, what do you think of brewing fancy wine?"
Dancer just tilted her head at him as if not understanding his train of thought. Since as far as she knew, he didn't drink alcohol.
"Yeah, it can be a side hobby. So how about we go into woodworking for our next career."
