Chapter 96 - Chapter 96

"Step to the left."

"Woof."

"Now step to the right."

"Woof."

"Now spin in a circle and clap your paws."

"Woof, woof."

Within his apartment, Leonardo was currently playing with his new dog, well it's a puppy. She had a mixture of white, brown and black fur with the majority of fur being brown. While the dog spun around as he did following those words, Leonardo laughed as they continued to groove.

He had gotten himself a blue heeler and avoided getting one with a main white fur color. It's not that he disliked them, but he felt it was too close to his old dog. The kryptonian gene implant he made the Fortress was also given and slowly altered it's gene.

Hence, while the puppy wasn't as strong as it will be when it fully adapts. It already has a far higher intelligence compared to before. So he didn't need to spend much time on training it so only a few times were needed.

On top of that, her senses are also a lot better. So Leonardo also began to train it to help with tracking. The bonus for the best police dog is within their grasp, well maybe in a while.

Then as he was turning off the small radio, he softly played music from. A knock at his door appeared making Leonardo look out to see Commissioner Gordon. Blinking since it is important, Commissioner Gordon wouldn't stop by in person. Instead he would just call or wait until he got to the station in a couple hours.

"Dancer, open the door for our guest." Leonardo asked the puppy.

The puppy nodded and ran to the door and hopped up onto the small four legged stool. She pawed the door knob allowing it to swing open and allowed the man outside to enter. RIght before pawing the door to close it and run back to the kitchen followed by the man.

"How did you train her so fast? I only remember you saying you got her a week or two ago." Gordon commented looking at the puppy.

Leonardo lightly coughed into his hand. "A little over a month."

It has been a month and half since Valentine day and Clark's Red Kryptonite episode. During which Clark didn't have much going on, besides Lana coming to the farm due to a stalker. Which actually annoyed Clark a bit since had own set of plans he wanted to do, but had to change. Since he didn't want Lana running loose on the farm digging through his or Leonardo's things.

Other than that which ended with Clark lightly ranting a bit, since Clark stopped by to play a chess game. Since while Leonardo relaxed on managing his time in order to help Clark at the drop of a hat with his issues. The two would still meet up once in a while for lunch or in this case, Clark's way of making up the plans they had. Since the day Lana came, they were planning on visiting a small rock festival.

"So did something big happen?" Leonardo got back on topic.

"Well, a fight club was discovered around Smallville. They have been streaming it and bodies are stacking up quickly. A few attempts to infiltrate have been made, but they all failed as they got stuck before even entering. So a request was made since you tended to do difficult or impossible things with ease. Not to mention you are a great fighter, so they hope you can help them solve the club or at least get inside and find out who is running it."

"Surely they have some idea." Leonardo said.

"They have a suspect who works as a doctor in Belle Reves. However, it is very loosely based at the moment." Gordon replied. "So they decided to hang back for the moment so as to not scare him away. However, they saw a few suspicious people hanging around and figured it not only law enforcement scouting them out."

Leonardo frowned upon hearing that. It's not so much he was afraid but how long he might need to sneak in to get the information. Since getting the information about who's running it, but if he needs to find those that are eyeing it. It is going to be a big pain in the butt since Lex Luthor might be involved. Since this club was Smallville and Lex properly thinks it is intruding on his turf.

"Do you agree?" Gordon asked.

"Are there any photos of some of the fighters?" Leonardo asked.

"There are only a couple, since most of the fighters die or are swapped out regularly." Gordon said, pulling a folder from his coat pocket.

Opening the file, Leonardo closed his eyes and knew he had to accept it. Otherwise, sending in an undercover or swat would just end in a massacre for them. Since the first photo he saw was of a large, not obese but muscular man. He had a bald head and a tattoo under his left arm of symbols. Symbols he recognized and knew this man was from the phantom zone.

"Alright, I will do it." Leonardo said after a moment.

"You can say no and no one will blame you." Gordon said.

'I would like to reject, but with a warrior of a Phantom Zone fighting. I'm afraid Earth isn't ready to handle someone of his caliber yet.' Leonardo thought.

There are also a couple other reasons besides not wanting swat members to throw away their lives. The first is the government or someone like Lex getting their hands on someone like the Phantom Zone prisoner. Then there is also the issue if words get you that there is another race outside of humans and their first impression is death matches. Well, it will be a terrible truth be told.

--

In the end, Leonardo went to Smallville and waited outside of Belle Reves for the doctor to leave his shift. So after waiting hours and snacking on a couple blueberry muffins. The doctor appeared and Leonardo walked up behind him.

"So, I hear you have a fight club. Care to invite me." Leonardo lowered his arms onto the man.

The man stumbled and showed a confused look. However, Leonardo grinned at the man and soon broke the act. Which after heavily patting the man or in the man view heavily patting him, Leonardo got his ticket into the club.

'For such a well guarded fight club, he sure let one in easily.' Leonardo felt a bit dumbfounded.

He truthfully didn't expect that acting similar to Clark in the show would actually work. Not that he was going to complain much about it. Since it works, then it works and makes his job a whole lot easier.

--

'You know in hindsight, the police should have guessed the location. Surely someone would have recognized the writing on the walls.' Leonardo thought to himself.

Standing in a military hanger as the strange fight club host showed him the ring. Leonardo just rolled his eyes at the man. His eyes soon looked around at the computers and soundboards while a woman just watched with a bored interest.

While the woman did look a bit pretty, she wasn't really Leonardo type. Not to mention she had a few bruises and looked like she took a bit of a beating recently.

"So, when is the first round?" Leonardo asked, cutting off the man rambling.

"Soon, you will fight soon enough." Richter Maddox grinned happily.

Leonardo just nodded as he was led to a changing room of sorts. There he was given an outfit which he just tossed aside. Since he didn't feel like wearing a black biker jacket or skinny jeans since it wasn't his style.

'Now, let's see if I can spot those other parties interested in the club.' Leonardo lightly thought to himself.

After sneaking around, Leonardo frowned as he didn't find anything inside. Then upon looking out the sides, he found a few men in suits monitoring the place. Men who had the Luther Logo.
