"And this would be your room, sir."
"Oh okay."
"If you need anything at all please don't hesitate to place a call on us."
"Sure thing." With that, the ship attendant left my presence, just as I needed him to.
I took a sit on the uncomfortable ship bed and quenched up a minute, studying what I had just put myself into. This was not so good for a ship's room, there was only a bed, and a shelf with a telephone on it. And the room was so tiny that if five more people decided to pay me a visit here, we would definitely die of low oxygen. But the only exception was a circular with at the far edge that brought in the scent of the sea, and the water waves that promoted peace. This place was a perfect area to meditate and nap peacefully, that's if the ship doesn't get capsized by the helms man. But I decided to look on the bright side, it didn't matter whether this place was bad or not, what mattered was that it was the only room I could afford. Unlike Tori who probably got a mansion for a room.
Now, how did I get here, and why did I come here knowing fully well that I didn't want to? On a ship to New York City, the big place where I had never dreamt of going to. Only one explanation could sum this up, I was surrendering too easy to Tori lately, I never listen to people, only to mom and my comic books, but lately, it seems Tori walked into the list. Now, I was foolishly following her to Camp Red-Blood, a dungeon of fiction.
Brushing off my thoughts, I grabbed my backpack and took out a comic strip from it, "BLACK." The book was written with black and white graphics so it looked extra Noir to read. It was about a naval officer who escaped the navy as he needed to survive for his family. But it even endangers him more as he becomes the main area of speculation to his naval branch. I guess he has to keep running or surrender to the navy, who knows what would happen?
I guess I had to keep on reading.

Smoke, dust, and the smell of corpse that was being roasted over fire. I stood by myself in my small apartment, which I thought I had abandoned. But no, this place seemed normal and it didn't appear like anything tragic had happened here. Then suddenly, things changed, the smoke, dust and the horrible smell faded, but I still stood in my living room, pondering on how I got there.
"Why did you kill me?" I heard a familiar voice, that of my mom's and I tilted all over, tracking her voice down. I saw my mom sitting on the dining chair, she had a black robe on her but her body seemed as perfect as ever, it didn't seem like she was dead, but I couldn't explain why she was wearing a complete dark robe. Moreover, she was reading a newspaper which was the odd because mom never read newspapers. And as she read the newspapers, she kept chuckling evilly.
"Mom?" I called out to her, although I wasn't sure if she was truly the one.
"Hahaha... Classic." She laughed again.
"Mom.." I took few steps towards her, to feel her touch, at that point I wanted to hug my mother again. "Mom, I've missed you so much-"
When I finally approached her, my eyes met with what she was laughing at, "THREE WESTERN KIDS FOUND DEAD AT MOTION SUBWAY STATION."
"Y.... You aren't mom."
"Hahaha, why would you ever say that Christopher? But I am your mom." She said admist chuckles. I should've realized it but mom was dead and this impersonator had the guts to use my mom's face to haunt me.
"Get me out of here!" I felt my face scrunching over as I searched for a nearby exit but couldn't find one, all the doors seemed to be locked shut and as I struggled with the main exit door, I felt hot breathing down my neck.
"You can't run Christopher, it's the both of us here, now look at me and tell me why you murdered me."
Mentally, I suddenly became unstable, this was just enough, this suffering was enough, I felt like the prey, the weakest, and I didn't want to fall like a defeated person again. First, my mom was killed in my watch, which was a trauma I was still healing from, and then Hades declares my death, sending ghosts to haunt me. This was just enough, I wasn't going to give up at that moment, I wasn't just going to end it here, without avenging my mother's death.
Suddenly, I felt something surge through my fingers before it landed in my palms, at first I thought it was black plasma but at the next moment, I figured out that it wasn't, it wasn't as solid as the knife anyways.
"~Get out of my head!~"
"Haha, too bad, if you don't answer my question, you'll have to stay with me forever haha!"
"~No, it's gonna be the other way round~" And then black smoke curled all around the room, diffusing everything it touched at that moment. The last thing I heard however was the crack of a bone, a dead bone.
