Chapter 7 - Ch 6 - Growing Up Pt 1

POV: Anakin Skywalker, Watto's Junk Shop/Mos Espa/Tatooine, 36 BBY

===============================

I was sitting behind the counter of Watto's junk shop with my eyes closed, meditating. It's been a somewhat eventful four years with my mom and I being used as a bet two years ago, which was quite a typical thing as a slave being betted on podraces, then us meeting our new master Watto, who, compared to Gardulla, was actually worse. At least with Gardulla, she left us alone, but with Watto, it was work, work, work, work all the time. Even I, who was a three-year-old child for crying out loud, had to work a six-hour shift!

Anyway, I've been using the time in between customers coming into the shop to expand my control over the force and my emotions. I feel very much at peace that even if a Karen came in here right now and started to complain about everything, I wouldn't be even the slightest bit annoyed. Along with my emotions being in control, my natural telekinetic abilities have grown leaps and bounds to the point that now my maximum lifting weight is about 16 tonnes. I can also use my telekinesis in more creative ways, like creating a small field around myself or someone while it doesn't deflect blaster bolts, yet it can block almost anything else.

Another thing I have managed to do with my telekinesis is compress things on a technical level. It's not very impressive given that telekinesis can do stuff like manipulate matter, but for a universe like Star Wars, it's equivalent to using *force crush*. As for the infamous *force choke*, well, I could do that since I was three years old, as it only required me to restrict the flow of oxygen by squeezing the throat. You would think that Darth Vader's most iconic move was more difficult to use, but as long as you had decent control over telekinesis, you could do it.

Following my acceptable usage of telekinesis, my telepathy had also grown—maybe not as much as my telekinesis had, but still enough to be able to read people's thoughts. That may sound great, but once again, a limitation of my age and control over the force meant that the only way I could read minds was if I had eye contact with them, and my mind reading would cut short if my eye contact broke. And though I had not yet explored using the force to amplify my body or expand my senses, I did have a good reason: my body had yet to be developed enough to enhance my physical abilities and alfactory senses. So all in all, I would say that without any guidance from either a practitioner of the force, such as a Sith or Jedi, or something like a holocron, I've got my control over force to a good degree. Now I faced a pretty obvious problem: what should I do to properly train myself? Either I go with the original timeline by staying on Tatooine and getting picked by Qui Gon and, as a result, get inducted into the Jedi Order, which is, in my personal opinion, bad because it gets Sidious's attention, and the Jedi would only train as much as they knew, and they definitely would not let me have access to any of the forbidden knowledge they held. The other option is to go out on my own and learn from places like the Great Jedi Library and so on, which does sound much more fun than sticking to the canon. I did, of course, want to meet Qui Gon Jinn and Obi Wan Kenobi, who were both my favourite characters after Plo Koon and Yoda. So I would have to say no to joining the Jedi if I did decide to meet them, not that it would be difficult as the only one that really supported me joining the Jedi order was Qui Gon.

Honestly, I was scared these past few years were feeling like a tutorial to the real adventure, that of course being the prequels and the clone wars. Before I could think any further, I was broken out of my meditation by the sound of a door opening. I still couldn't get used to the sci-fi doors sliding open. Anyway, the door that opened wasn't the front door to the shop but the side door, and out came my current master, Watto, who was looking rather pissed at me. "Hey Ani, why has Nobata Wanga come Tah Ma shop Noleeya Ta past two hours? you'd Mo gootu have Du good explanation." "Hey Ani, why has no one come to my shop in the past two hours? You'd better have a good explanation." He spoke angrily in Huttese.

"Jee don't know watto you'd Tinka Uba would have lots of customers given Kava well, everyone thinks of Do Shop." "I don't know, Watto, you'd think you would have lots of customers given how well everyone thinks of your shop." I said back to him, trying to butter him up, as I really didn't want to have to deal with his insults for another half an hour today. "Well, Uba best hope Da someone comes Noleeya Wata Noleeya Ta next hour; Mo, you'll be Nenoleeya of food An water Che two days." "Well, you best hope that someone comes in here in the next hour, or you'll be out of food and water for two days." He spoke in a less angry and more arrogant tone, and after that, he left through the side door he came through. I used my limited understanding of clairvoyance via force to see outside the shop to see if anyone was walking towards the shop. My clairvoyance was really blurry as a result of my limited understanding of the ability. But I knew it was pointless, as no one wanted to come to Watto's shop due to his reputation for ripping off any poor customer that came in. 'Well, I guess my mom and I were out of food and water for two days; I should have probably rationed a bit.'
