Leaning against the nearest tree, I gazed up at the moon. The sky was decorated with a streaking shooting star. I gazed intently as it vanished into the dazzling expanse of the star-studded sky.
Closing my eyes, I inhaled deeply, allowing the air to fill my lungs. I felt my body relaxing, and I let out a deep exhale.
'I miss this.'
I enjoyed the feeling of the cool night air brushing my face. Inhaling deeply, I allowed the cool night air to spread throughout my lungs.
A loud howl brought me back to reality. I quickly looked around. The moon was still high in the sky, but there was no sign of the dog.
I took another deep breath and let it out slowly. I was alone. No one could see me. I turned my attention back to the house.
"I'm sorry I have to leave so soon," I whispered. "But I have to do this. Staying cooked up wouldn't aid my plans, not while you're keeping certain information away from me."
