Clyde ignored Cadwell's question and stepped forward, extending his hand.
Mr. Cadwell eyed the hand and slowly reached out to shake it.
"I am pleased to finally meet you, Mister Garter."
I watched as the two men shook hands.
For some strange reason, Clyde seemed to enjoy being called Mister Barrow.
He stepped in front of me protectively and whispered through the corner of his lips.
"Lord Tristan gives his approval and hopes you know what you're doing."
I nodded my head in understanding. "I do. I also have a bit of the answer I was searching for."
I looked to Mr. Cadwell, whose eyes were narrowed in suspicion.
"You can trust Lord Tristan," Clyde added. "And you don't have to worry about Jonas anymore."
"How so?"
Before Clyde could respond, another man approached us and interrupted us.
