"Mr. Jonas is missing." Clyde repeated, lowering his head in despair.
I narrowed my eyes at him, understanding the gravity of each syllable.
"You don't have to say anymore, Clyde. Just leave me alone so I can figure this all out. You can go to bed."
"No, I can't leave you alone, my lord."
I didn't want to hear what he was going to say next.
"I don't need your help, nor you risking your life for this!" I snapped, making him flinch.
Just when I thought he would back down and do as I had instructed, he stood his ground and repeated.
"I can't leave you, my lord." He emphasized. "I've been with you every step of the way while I still had the chance in the past. And I respect you too much not to do whatever it takes to see you happy, especially with your pregnant mate—even if that means putting myself in danger."
