As they traversed the desolate landscape, Renxian held onto Siuxa's hand, who evolved more flustered with each passing moment. In this chilling atmosphere, she could feel the warmth that Renxian exerted.
Even so, this still felt unfamiliar to her, she knew she could not deny that her chest this time beat so fast every time she was close to him.
"Um... Renxian, your hand," Siuxa softly uttered, causing Renxian to come to a halt.
He turned his head for a moment before releasing Siuxa's hand with an embarrassed chuckle. "Ah, sorry, I just wanted to make sure you were near me."
On the opposite end, Siuxa sensed Renxian's overprotectiveness, furrowing her brow. "Do you think I can't handle myself well?" she retorted, her expression turning serious.
"No, not like that! I believe you can," he acknowledged, attempting to calm Siuxa. "But, I don't want my other companion to disappear either."
