A bat was perched on a large oak tree, peering down at little human's offspring running around and 'screaming their heads off' in what the bat assumed they called 'excitement'. To Mundanes, this bat looked like a regular one, sitting on a tree and just observing, but one who would look carefully at the said bat would notice the aloofness in its eyes, how it peered down at the little children running around the park like they were dirt beneath its feet.
The bat's bizarre red eyes swept across the little creature with disdain clear in its eyes, its wings wrapped around itself like a cocoon as it dangled on the highest branch of the tree with bored eyes.
After what seemed like the bat was 'scouting' the area, the bat flapped away from the tree, and towards the sky.
