Sienna's eyes had turned black as she backed away from the vampire whose knees were pinned down. He couldn't stand or reach for her despite his efforts.
Fear gripped her heart, and she darted her gaze around, worried that someone had witnessed what she had done.
"Once I get my hands on you, I will fucking kill you!"
Before the power of the curse she had cast on him faded, Sienna ran away. She did not head back to the servants' quarters. Instead, she ran toward the front garden, as it was much closer to the main hall.
Surely, the crazed vampire wouldn't attempt to murder a maid with many aristocrats around, would he? She could only hope for the best.
Sienna knew that with Lemiel's mark on her, no vampire could drink her blood, but she could still be killed. And from the look of it, the vampire chasing her wouldn't hesitate to tear her head off once he realized she was of no use to him.
