Sienna fell asleep again, and when she woke up, the faint sunlight was hitting her face through the open windows. She opened her eyes to see a silhouette blocking the sun's rays. Two pairs of amber eyes were peering down at her.
One held warmth, the other a little icy and dark.
"Good morning, Mama. Your fever is gone."
Davi sat by her side and gently touched her cheek with the back of his small hand. The little gesture made Sienna smile despite the slight headache she was feeling.
"Father and I took care of you while you were sick."
Remembering what happened last night, Sienna's face heated a bit. The thought of Lemiel doing that for her did not sit well with her, and now she felt as though she was indebted to him.
She glanced at Lemiel, who was standing by the bedside. Their gazes met, and he raised a brow without saying a word.
