In the council's building, Theron had just left the duke's office when he noticed Lemiel on the balcony, his hair and clothes drenched from the heavy rain outside. Theron gave him a strange look.
"Did your carriage break down?" Theron asked, as Lemiel always made sure to avoid getting wet in the rain and usually had his carriage with him when he went to work.
"No, I offered it to someone in need," Lemiel replied casually, pushing open his office door. The rain dripped from his clothes, wetting the carpet as he walked towards the inner part of the office and removed his wet upper clothes.
Theron followed him inside.
"I received some information about the witch's case. We should locate Leticia Cowper. She could be the witch," Lemiel stated, grabbing fresh clothes from his cabinet. He changed into new attire behind a wooden divider in his office.
