"I thought I was supposed to return to the mansion at one in the afternoon?"
While they were in the carriage, Sienna couldn't help but ask Lemiel. The vampire sat across from her, looking out the window with a calm expression on his face. The window on his side was partly open and his elbow rested on the window frame, the wind softly brushing his hair.
"I had a series of meetings to attend because your wolf friend has been working diligently, so I got delayed. Don't worry, Davi should be fine. I sent someone to the mansion earlier to let him know that you would be returning home soon."
"Thank you."
Lemiel's lips curled up, pleased by her gratitude.
"How about you sit here beside me?"
"Huh?"
He rolled his eyes. "I said, how about you sit here beside me? Don't make me repeat myself a third time. That's rude and unladylike."
Why would she sit beside him? Her eyes narrowed warily.
